Somebody else pointed out that those same starts came with Wright at NT and Sanders at SS, but people always miss those little details, preferring instead to point to the San Diego game and how LdT ran hog wild on the Pats defense. If a mediocre RB like LdT can wrack up the yards, clearly TBC must go and a rookie or 30-ish veteran be brought in to replace him.My beef with Banta-Cain is that he is pretty bad in run support. Somebody posted the average yards per rush given up per game this season by the Patriots, and the difference between when Seau was in versus when Banta-Cain came in to the lineup was night and day. He is a complete liability against the run and, yes, not very good in coverage either. One dimensional players don't have much place in the Patriots defense.
