Bussey has Wilfork's 75 as well but that's camp #s, white for O and blue for D so they probably ran out of #s.

Wow. I'm surprised they did that.

[For example—when Gostkowski came, they said "3 or 5. Your choice." No way they were going to give him 4.]

No, I'm saying that they don't normally replace one guy at a position and then give another rookie that same number right away. [Since they don't have "ST" as a position, they had to call Izzo a LB; but note they didn't give him 50, even though that number's available.]

You think that is because of AV. BB wanted to keep 4 open in case we had shot of trading for Favre.

If I recall correctly one rookie even had Hill's for a couple of days and then traded it in.

I wonder CT, if that had something to do with taking off some pressure, etc. Just a thought.

Wasn't it Ruud? I don't think he ever gave it up till he was recently waived.

And, ironically, they give it to a guy who is just a wee bit faster. . . . :)

25's decent I guess...he woulda looked better, IMO with a 30's or even a 40's if he was a true sticker.

    Ed Reed #20

    Brian Dawkins #20

    Adrian Wilson #24

3 of the best safeties in the league besides Polumalu

#25 for Chung is as good as any other number--let's hope he can play

If I recall the Patriots had a pretty good safety in the 1980's named Rick Sanford. He led the NFL in interceptions in 1983. He was a first round pick by the Pats. He is now a Dr. (Chiropractor). He was #25
