The Pats have a former player's agent, Jack Mula, on their payroll.

Jack negotiates most of the contracts for our draft choices. He also

works with Scott Pioli on re-signing our players and signing unrestricted

free agents from other teams. In light of our rather horrific off season

this year, perhaps Jack should concentrate more on signing veteran

players. He might have better rapport with the agents.

Kool! With NEM telling the coaches how to call the games it behooves people to find someone in the organization they can work with. :rocker:

We've played one game and the signings are described as horrific, yea perhaps the sky is really falling... gotta look at a big picture here.

With all due respect I don't see how the off-season can be deemed "horrific"? Why? Because we didn't overpay for several of our veterans? The sure way to NFL oblivion is to overpay your veterans after their best years are behind them. The crummy team we beat yesterday is a classic example of that. The way to stay competitive for years is to keep your core veterans, say goodbye every once in a while to veterans in order to maintain cap flexibility and stockpile draft picks. The Pats seem to have this down. And finally, BTW, our college draft (also a part of the offseason) is looking very productive at this point.

Yea, they really screwed up that Seymour deal.

Yup, and they really goofed up by having a record 8 draft picks make the team.
