One thing he mentioned that will cause some level of angst here is the All 22 film so eagerly awaited won't be released until Wednesdays...

He briefly touched on some concern where Spikes is concerned. Says while he is a physical presence they could certainly benefit from, the team seems to make an effort to keep him under wraps from a media standpoint and the combination of his injury history and at times disturbing twitter presence just gives him pause.

He's also concerned about the OL, although not in general because he trusts Scar. He thinks Solder is the real deal and his only nagging concern is whether Vollmer can remain healthy enough to be his long term bookend.

He deftly handles some really annoying left field questioners... He has that ability to soundly dimiss their takes without insulting them. Something Reiss can't quite master as he always tends to credit the possibility they could be on to something he just doesn't see. I get the sense he has really built up some credibility via relationships that he doesn't squanter because he's in it for the long haul and not just itching to break news or tell tales or take a controversial or confrontational stand that gets him noticed.

good stuff......

not going to argue hoyer vs. mallet, but neither will get the pats to the SB

Good chat, but notice how Bedard (like the moronic SMY and the other Globies) always has to make it all about himself and his fellow mediots:

The Patriots don't make it easy on fans (or the media) planning in advance. We really don't know the schedule beyond Sunday.

Greg A. Bedard: If he's healthy -- a HUGE if -- he certainly helps. Wayne Hunter and Vlad Ducasse are terrible.

BEDAHHHD!! Ya did good, kid!
