What exactly constitutes a forced fumble? I'm re-watching the videos on NFL.com and clearly Anderson forced the Rivers fumble at the end of the game and Mayo forced the Tolbert fumble in the beginning of the fourth.

Those are huge plays that change the game and I don't see why they don't get credit. (btw, for the doubters, that was Mayo making a huge play that should show up in the box score)

The short version is that a forced fumble occurs when the ball is knocked out of the carrier's hands by a defender.

So what Mayo did was a forced fumble, but f***ed-up exchanges between center and QB are not.

Ok. That's what I thought, but neither got credit in the box scores. Some folks ***** about big plays like Ints and Sacks, but FFUM is just as big, imho.
