I don't know much about this website nor have I attended any practices, but based on what I am reading and clips I am seeing, I don't see Zappe winning or leading the QB "battle".

Anyone else seeing things the same way as this writer?

I like Zappe. He is a hard working, intelligent football player. He is also the backup quarterback. Imo, that is his best position, backup QB.

If Justin Ramos didn’t report it then it’s fake news.

This was written after only 3 days of camp, and from what I've read (not including today ) Mac was attempting more difficult passes, while Zappe was completing more check downs. It's ridiculous to use completion percentage to make a judgment without context.

Zappe may very well in fact be winning the training camp competition among the quarterbacks, but what that person wrote has nothing to do with it.

A poorly written, entirely unsourced, unpolished, poor, poor piece of reporting. That is not a competent piece of journalism/reporting; the article is meaningless, unserious, and offers nothing insightful. It shouldn't be shared/promoted here (or anywhere).

Zappe is playing well but Musketfire is garbage. I've seen this mentioned about that site at other places as well.
Never heard of the website before and was confused by his take.

So it's just some dude with a website/blog?

Then don't click on it.

I didn't say it shouldn't be engaged with; that's up to each individual to decide for themselves. I said it shouldn't be shared/promoted (or, at the very least, I wouldn't share/promote it).

I guess you were just sharing the link the inquire about the article itself, the source, if it has any truth to it ... fair enough.

Also, he's not.

I truly never heard of the website before. And thought it was a strange article far off from everything else I read. Was curious if anyone else had any insight supporting the article.

Zappe had a good day on Sunday. The kid might belong in this league.

Zappe doing any work with the number 1's?

Musketfire is an embarrassment of a site and links to their articles should not be posted here. Pure clickbait ridiculousness. I can only assume that you have an anti-Mac agenda, if you decided use this article as a basis for a new thread.

The only thing worse than the author’s articles are his hilariously bad Photoshop skills.

For sure. He's not beating Mac out, but sounds like he's looking pretty sharp. It's definitely nice to have a capable backup. Will be interesting to see how things evolve over the next couple seasons.

There was even a video from minicamp shared on social media of Mac Jones throwing a touchdown pass to Tyquan Thornton. When watched closely, it appears Mac is throwing one way, and the ball travels another. A Twitter post suggested that the reception was from a Zappe pass, and somebody had spliced together two videos just to get Mac more press.

You should not ass-u-me anything.

I am as big of a Mac supporter as there is. Maybe discuss it, react to an article and and an obvious question without making it about the poster. Just a thought.
