He seemed to be genuinely touched to have been named honorary captain for the Jags game. Great stuff from a classy guy:

34:57 mark of vid.

Bledsoe is the reason I became a Patriots fan. He may have had his flaws, but he went a long way in putting NE back on the map. Glad we're showing him lots of love (way to go Kraft) and keeping him in the fold.

Nothing was taken away.

Drew was playing poorly.

He lost his job to a better player.

I didn't mean " taken away" as in the Patriots screwd him over. I meant it in a figurative type way.

Brady didn't play his greatest game in SB 36, but they get their doors blown off by the Rams with Bledsoe.

Regards,

Big Dave

I remember Bledsoe being super professional and helping brady. He didn't cause a distraction and handled it better than most players would.
Then you woke up?
That’s not at all how it happened.

I remember sort of similar, probably because I only watched the games on sunday, maybe a sportscenter here and there and that was it. No reading 15 stories every week about every hint of drama. Also it's been awhile.

Bledsoe went to kraft to try to get him to make belichick give him back the job. He made public comments about being screwed. There was a locker room divide but it was solved by winning.

I'm glad he was able to overcome his initial bitterness and resentment.
He's much a better man than me. I'd never let that go.

I don't know how I would have handled it, either. That's a lot of bitterness to overcome, but at the end of the day, I'm glad he was able to do it. Life is just too short.

This probably helped in the end. :)

Overstated that he didn't cause a distraction. Huge coverage of his dissatisfaction at not being given a clean chance to win the job back, in his opinion. IIRC, it was a Will McDonough piece.

Funny, same here. Won my first ever fantasy league because of Bledsoe, so '93 was when I became a Pats fan.

After taxes that can't be more than $65 million - who can live on that???

Bledsoe was bitter but he wasn't a distraction, at least not outside the locker room. I'm not sure we could have asked for more from him.

Big of him to forgive the team for their mistake and return for the coin flip two weeks ago. Bledsoe could have thrown the ball over the maintain had coach put him in.
