In about a month, the following receivers will be available in trade. Let us know which one you want:

    1) Jabar Gaffney (5th rounder)

    2) Kelley Washington (conditional 5th rounder)

    3) Chad Jackson (conditional 3rd rounder)

    4) Donte Stallworth (2nd rounder)

We look forward to hearing from you soon.

Yeah I don't see Kelley Washington staying on the roster, but Stallworth will be a viable weapon once teams actually attempt to cover Moss. I'd at least let him play out the rest of the one-year deal.

Stallworth for a 2nd rounder? No team will give that. Not more than a 4th.

Not ALL of them. ONE of them. I'm giving them options. Because I'm nice.

Give Stallworth a chance please? We have a great recieving corps right now and a terrific offense. Lets not change it by trading away a starter.

I meant it ironically in a sense, but I did MEAN it. Given our glut at WR - and two WRs on PUP - we can afford to deal one of them, as opposed to making a tough cut.

I don't disagree. I'd rather keep Stallworth, I think we've only seen a glimpse so far. I just listed the ones who could POSSIBLY be made available, and he is possible, albeit unlikely - and surely the most valuable/proven of those listed.

TO END THIS WHOLE THREAD....I THINK THAT EVERYONE STAYS BECAUSE BY THEN, STALLWORTH WILL BE ANOTHER KEY PART OF THIS OFFENSE, JABAR WILL BE THE KEY ROUTE RUNNER IN THE SPREAD OFFENSE, AND KELLY (SO FAR) IS DOIN VERY GOOD IN SPECIAL TEAMS.

WHEN EVERYONE PICKS UP THE DECOY (RIGHT NOW EITHER WELKER OR MOSS), STALLWORTH WILL HAVE A BIG GAME:rocker:

They were just lamenting about how the Eagles needed to get Donovan at least one really good WR. I immediately thought they need Donte more than we do.

Eagles got into the redzone, mention of Donovan being #2 in the last 5 years or so wrt QB rating in the redzone, 102.6 I think it was. Minute goes by, then they say #1 is Tom Brady. OK.

In that case they aren't trading Jackson. They had to give up both a second and a third round pick to move up for him in 2006, give the guy a chance.

Okay, well, doesn't that mean we then have to cut or IR Troy and Chad Jackson? I recall hearing rumblings that CJ - not that he has much ground to stand on - would not take kindly to that. More importantly, I think futzing with IR as a way to "stash" players will be looked at long and hard by the NFL, especially us, especially in this climate.

I'm happy to give the guy a chance. I want to see what he can do. I added him to the list just sort of because I only consider Welker and Moss untouchable. I'm assuming, if we were to trade a WR, it would be one of Washington or Gaffney.

AGAIN, I was simply naming WRs who would be at all plausibly available. I agree that CJ and Donte are long-shot trading chips. I think it would be Gaff or Wash.

    #95 Jersey

Andy Reid stubbornly believes that he does not need top notch receivers. Other than T.O. (who helped them get to the SB) they have not drafted or signed a top notch one. They had Stallworth for a year but he was injured most of the time. With top receivers, Westbrook could be more of a Marshall Faiuk-type weapon, now teams just key on Westbrook with no other viable weapons....

This post does bring up a valid point. The Pats are loaded at WR, and will soon be overloaded. Some decisions will have to be made. It's going to get very interesting, and let's face it, it's a good problem to have.

    #12 Jersey

First off Gaffney and Stallworth were on the Eagles.. Second I think , its a little to early to dump on Stallworth, Moss has just been outstanding, and Welker has been great in the slot... Stallworth will still have 60 catches by the end of the yr...
