DB's practicing with first unit: wheres geno?

you know what our DBs should do. Exactly what Lovie Smith and the Bears D coaches made them do. Thery made them do so much work at DB getting in position..reading plays..jumping routes and a lot. Thats why they had a lot of picks and scored TDs. They practiced a lot catching the ball and returning it wherever they scored. Imagine if we could get our young guys to start picking balls off and returning for 6 several times.

Of course we'd like INT-return touchdowns, but the Bears play a gambling pass defense. We don't. BB's philosophy is not to gamble, and instead make the tackle immediately. We could change things so that we score defensive touchdowns a lot more frequently, but it would almost certainly result in giving up a lot more long touchdowns as well. The Bears really have to because their offense can't score. They came out ahead last year. They came out way behind the year before.

Mularkey played that way with the Bills too, and he paid for it every year.
