Breaking Story of NFLPA-NFL Expedition Motion

There is no 'trial' hanging over the season, and no, it wouldn't be worse. It can't be any worse than it's already been, unless you believe he's guilty of this and more.

You keep saying something obvious and then making assertions that aren't remotely justified by the obvious thing.

There would be the outcome of Bradys punishment as an distraction all season long.

Yes, it would be worse after every poor game by Brady being asked if the football psi played a role in the loss.

The one that would drag out all season long.

So now you're saying the judge lied when he granted the NFL/NFLPA joint motion to get this all done by September 4th?

Nice writeup by Florio on how Vincent helped the NFLPA establish their case.

That's as clear a case of no notice being given as you can possibly have, coming from the person who (supposedly) laid out the initial penalty, heard by the 'independent' arbiter. How Goodell could possibly uphold a suspension based on this is beyond me.

If he didn't know what potential CBA violations he'd be breaking for being 'generally aware' of footballs 'more probably than not' being deflated then how can he be penalized for it? This isn't like general laws on the books for citizens where you're expected to know them, these are explicit rules delineated per the CBA for officials, for players, for teams, and if a player isn't beholden to a particular rule--or even given notice of said rule--then I don't see how they can possibly justify penalizing him with that rule.

There is between 25 - 30 different threads on deflate gate right now on this site.

Virtually everyone in the country has an opinion, wisecrack or comment. Protracting this madness into the 2015 season and beyond is just that.

Regardless of when this end, there will be plenty of talk about the outcome.

Now that the media is starting to get unfiltered information and the tide is starting to turn in Brady's favor, you want him to have this stop being a point of discussion?

The team might not want the potential distraction going into the season, unless, perhaps, it keeps Brady pissed all season long. Perhaps it could be a good thing if it does go on.
