Brady had four rushing attempts for 15 yards with one touchdown, while his running backs, James White and LeGarrette Blount, had just five carries for 1 yard.

You'll be happy to know that the last game in which a winning team rushed for fewer than 16 yards was New England in the 2014 divisional playoffs against Baltimore.

Here are a list of teams that have had the fewest yards and still won in a game...........really intriguing stuff

It will be hard to catch those 1943 Lions winning with -43 rushing yards. Record is as safe as 56.
Sacks are a relatively new statistic. Before they became a thing, were they considered negative rushing yards? Would explain such a brutal number.

Damn. Just looked at all those games.

This is the 2nd lowest amount of rushing yards a winning QB has had from the rest of his team on that list, at least documented as such (a couple older games didn't have box scores, including that '43 lions one).

Of course there could be some games where a QB had more yards himself, and those wouldn't be on that list, but this is probably in the top 5. And its even moreso impressive because of the defensive rank of the opponent.

As fans dissect this from every conceivable angle.. winning ugly is still a win, when the season is done no one cares about how this team did it, as long as they do it.. there is only one statistic that matters, as there are no "style" points in the NFL...

6 wins... 0 defeats..
