But wait . . . I thought he was just spotted in the Gillette parking lot.
I'd like to see him in a Pats uniform (assuming there's gas left), but I don't know how likely that would be. I think he'd be the final piece to a SB puzzle, though I also believe we can do just fine without him as well.
Yup. I also feel he gives you a bit more explosiveness and home run ability than Blount in the run game. I like Blount for what he is and he seems to respond very well to the coaching in NE, which is something I don't overlook because of his history for being a bit tough to deal with for other teams. But I just don't have much confidence anymore in him in most situations. It just takes him a while to get going on a play and in the game overall. I'd like to see more explosiveness from a bigger back. We can't always depend on Lewis because, as exciting as he is, he's just not someone you want to keep feeding the ball to between the tackles. That's the one area where I would give Faulk and Woody a slight advantage over Lewis.Yea. What Foster gives you is (if healthy) the same runner as Blount but a much better receiving threat out of the backfield which makes defenses a little more to worry about.
Hopefully BB can trade for one of the 220 lb + RB's in KC.Damn. I wanted him. I expected us to draft a RB who could carry the mail on 3 downs and short yardage situations. When we didn't, I hoped we would sing one of the top big RBs. Now we are left waiting by the discard pile. Not hopeless, but hardly reassuring. I still find it difficult to believe we will go in with Blount and Lewis coming off injuries as our top two RBs.
