About.com mock draft

http://football.about.com/cs/nfldraft/a/bl_mockdraft.htm is a pretty goofy mock draft, with Ted Ginn, Jr. going higher than Leron Landry.

That said -- lots of people around here would be very happy with the outcome for the Pats:

24. Patrick Willis
28. Michael Griffin

:rocker::rocker::rocker:

I would be happy with that. I have seen about a half a dozen mocks over the past few days that have Willis available at #24. I am a bit surprised at that. Especially with his combine performance.

If willis is a #24 I'd be elated. But, can we afford to wait to see if he falls to us?

The Globe had a snipet about the Pats trading #24 and #28 to Grren Bay for #16 and #47.

Must have got that from me on here.
The one true advantage to that trade (assuming the player they want is there), it's the lowest cost six year contract slot and a steal as things appear to be going in this CBA environment.

Which is why I cant believe GB would go for it. The bottom half of the first is pretty thin.

Rob Rang just updated his 'risers and fallers', and has Ginn Jr. dropping:

Ginn could suffer a dramatic fall come draft day.

Now this of course doesn't mean that someone won't select him high, but I've learned to pay attention to these risers and fallers, especially when the opinions come from scouts and GMs.

Just a conjecture, like a lot of us have made.

And by the way, it's a very slight gain in total contract length -- 10 years for two guys either way, but more concentrated on the better of the two.

We do have to watch out for published rumors that we start here on the board. :)

Seriously 16 is a really lousy idea. We lose one year of contract compare with 15. We should look for a partner from 10-15.

Must have got that from me on here.
