I agree with Reiss's suggestion that Vernon Butler would likely have been the Pats' 1st rounder this year. That would have meant no need to reach for Valentine in Rd 3, allowing them to take Booker there if they had wanted. Plus maybe they don't feel the need to take another QB in the 3rd...
