Pats do have serious front 7 deficiencies, but the game against the Jets also revealed some other problems. Brady is strictly a pocket passer, and if our WR's can't get open, we're in trouble. The draft is a crapshoot, if we can get Fitz for our 1st (28) then I say we do it.
He's a very well spoken guy. Seems to want to win more than anything. I actually think we have a very good chance to sign him.

I think we should be past the point of questioning anything Brady does. Personally, I love it. It's Tom letting the Jets know they're not worth him watching. Talk about gaining on an already impressive psyche and composure advantage.
LOL. What a d!ck.
Your son's cute as hell, just voted, but he's behind the two Steelers fan's who have apparently been creating email accounts all night.... :bricks:
Re: 2010 Free Agent "Let's Sign This Guy" Thread
Assuming Law-Firm resigns, Mankins resigns (I think he will), realistically I'd like to see
1. Pat Williams (cheap vet, used to 4-3, but I think he can make the transition and/or play in goal line/ run packages)
2. LaMarr Woodley/ Tamba...
Re: Guyton... Fatest LB?
Yupp, Guyton and probably Mayo's best fit is the Tampa-Cover 2 or a 4-3 base where they won't be asked to engage or rush as much and have space to make plays in coverage.
re: WEEI : Mankins will return for last 6 games -Just trade him (merged..
I'd take Tashard Choice and a third round pick.... Cowboys O-line is pitiful, Barron is the worst starter in the league.
Spikes would get burned in coverage and outside runs, not to mention he doesn't have the burst or the build (short arms, stocky frame)... he's good at getting to the ballcarrier in traffic, I view him as a two-down rotation player as of now. Guyton on the other hand probably has the athleticism...
The ball's going to be spread out a lot this year... I could see Gronkowski and Hernandez playing a lot together, with Gronk taking the traditional TE spot and Hernandez in the slot, especially to start the year to ease Welker back in.
I'm really high on this kid and think he's gonna be a top ILB in this league... I hope the Pats snag him. Everytime I see him play I can't help but think Ray Lewis.
Ouch... I had no idea Seattle signed Housh, that would change a lot of the mock... I'll update it in a second.
As far as why Matthews over Barwin, Matthews played linebacker about 80% of the time, he took reps in coverage, and has shown that he can play standing up, Barwin on the other hand...
The fact that Barwin got by on pure talent and has limited experience scares me... he has all the physical tools, but one can only guess whether his IQ will be up to par.
One Round Mock.. may add a second round later based on feedback
1. DET - OT Jason Smith, Baylor
Stafford just isn't worth the first pick, not the sexy pick, but the good one
2. SL - OT Eugene Monroe, Virginia
It was hard not giving them Crabtree, but his injury and questions about...

The Football Expert: 2009 NFL Mock Draft - 7 Rounds
personally, I'd prefer...
1. James Laurinaitis, ILB, Ohio State- Sintim and English just have too many questions, I'd go with the sure pick, Mayo and Laurinaitis would be the best young duo at inside LB in...
#23- Larry English, Northern Illinois, OLB
pure pass rusher who will bring the speed and intensity off the edge that we need
#34- Eben Britton, Arizona, OT
will start at right tackle and can eventually move over to Brady's blind side
#47- Sean Smith, Utah, CB
reminds me of...
