With Saban going back to the college ranks, I think there is a good chance that BB consulted him on the Welker deal. Much like BB consulted with Saban when he was the HC at LSU. Now that the dynamics of their relationship have changed, Saban can once again be an asset to the Pats.

Tight End runs a sub 4.4 , two DB's run sub 4.3's, a bunch run 4.3's, 4 lb's run 4.4's....if i remember right, Fabian washington was the fastest player in last year's draft and I think he ran a 4.38....It seems like there is some serious speed in this years crop.
