Re: Welker & Hobbs off PUP
I say, realizing their egregious error, the Patriots will swallow their pride and bite the bullet by trading their entire defensive backfield to the Eagles in exchange for Asante Samuel. The Pats will then employ a very controversial defensive package from which...
Great stuff in this thread.
Much is being made of the lack of paragraphs, but I say that's hogwarsh. It's a good read, even if it does make your eyes go oyoyoyoyoyo.
Re: Offensive Pass Protection Breakdown
Great thread. Gomezcat posted a link on the Planet and I was impressed by your work.
Had to come over and say so.
Depressing stuff, but it does show exactly what my eyes thought they saw at live speed. Our OL (and DL to a lesser extent) got owned...
No, but the starting position does, which would lead to mental errors as players run down the field and try to 'stop a big play'. Watching the play unfold that's all I could think..
Oh snap, they tried too hard to book it down there and left a gaping hole.
 as long as we don't kick off...
Tell that to Plaxico Burress.
Out of all the QBs in the NFL I think Brady could miss a practice or two out of a bye week and still show up and play pretty well.
Just a feeling I have. ;)
The player started at the 26. If you started most of your kick returns FROM almost the 30 yard line, you don't think you'd have a bigger chance for a TD return?
I doubt they're milking it.
They're probably just giving it time to heal. They've got two weeks. And Brady is the best QB in the NFL.. you think he needs every practice to be ready for a Superbowl?
Our offensive TDs in order (2001-2004)

Stallworth - 0
Watson - 0
D Thomas - 0
K Brady - 0
Maroney - 0
Faulk - 0 (Faulk did score a 2 point conversion, but that's not a TD)
What is misleading?
From the Giants I read somewhere that only...
Teams practice plays a lot. But they don't often practice with a player starting 15 yards farther along than he's supposed to be. The timing and adjustments needed to cover such a short kick are probably much different.
It was probably also a lack of focus, but you can't say the 15 yarder...
Hopefully the last couple of drives give the offense some momentum after the early INTs.. I hope they have a great week of practice and head into the SB on all cylinders. No more INTs!
