I don't necessarily agree that Tom is better than Peyton (I see it as more of a wash, they're both GOATs, trying to say one is better than the other is just splitting hairs), but great post! Getting me fired up for the rest of the season :rocker:
Here's my go at the depth chart:
Offense (26):
QB (3) Tom Brady, Brian Hoyer, Ryan Mallet
RB (3) Stevan Ridley, Shane Vereen, Danny Woodhead
FB (1) Spencer Larsen
WR (7) Wes Welker, Brandon Lloyd, Jabar Gaffney, Deion Branch, Chad Ochocinco, Matthew Slater, Julian Edelman
TE (3) Rob Gronkowski...
Although I agree that Wes will not be gone, do you think that this might be a subtle message to him to decrease his leverage? "Hold out all you want, we'll be fine with or without you."
Re: No huddle offense...defensive flopping
Yeah, that's exactly how it should be done, with a 1 for 1 swap for the injured player (with another of the same position, ie DB for DB or LB for LB) with no other substitutions being allowed. However, if the offense makes new substitutions for the...
Re: No huddle offense...defensive flopping
Pretty sure the rule relating to mandatory injury timeouts and runoffs wasn't even around back in 04-- i believe it was implemented shortly after to prevent something like what happened in pats/colts from happening again
Re: OT:Flopping in Football, is there a fix?
Maybe you could disallow substitutions as well as keeping the player in question out the rest of a possession (obviously you would still be allowed to substitute someone in for the downed player, but you could restrict it so you would have to...
Why would you NOT kick the field goal there? If you make the field goal it's a 2 possession game. If you go for it and get a touchdown it's still a... (wait for it) 2 possession game.
Realistically we probably won't be able to get more than a 2nd, but Winfield and a late rounder isn't enough compensation for a first ballot hall of famer deep threat.
Actually, Deus is right. Last year (2008), the pats had the 2nd highest revenue in the league, at 302 million dollars. In that same year, they spent the 3rd lowest amount of money in the entire league on their players. This past year they spent the 9th lowest amount of money on players, and i'd...
anyone else forgetting what a horrible locker room presence he is? i think he's probably 10x worse than how bad moss/dillon were perceived to be.. i know i wouldn't want him on this team even if he could still play at a hall of fame level..
False. All those players are playing at a much higher level than Seymour of the past few years. Not to mention the only one of those players on the final year of their contract is DeMarcus Ware.
