If this comes out as reported than all of what Belichik accomplished in New England and what his players tried to accomplished is diminished. Forever tainted outside of us fans. First thing Kraft would do is save the name of the his franchise and distance himself from Belichik. As much as it...
Kraft isn't going to lose any money as long as #12 is in the lineup. This will never go away if there is another tape. Add into the fact the Belichik will face a pretty long suspension if true and I think it is a real possibility.
If he does have a tape, than we have seen the last game coached for the Patriots by Bill Belichik. Kraft will have no choice but to let him go as it will be the only way to separate the team from the cheating allegations. I don't like it, but it will happen. Very sad. I hope Walsh has nothing.
Brady and Bill are too smart for the obvious. Take two, three backs on Moss in the playoffs and that might mean 10-14 points on the underneath before adjutsments are made and when they are, back to Randy on the long. :rocker: :rocker:
Throw to Moss in double and triple coverage, save the underneath stuff and the running for the playoffs. Never mind about records, this stuff is by design. All on tape.
Re: Honestly, can we now all agree that Maroney is NOT the answer as an every down ba
I don't care who you had as a back last night the run wasn't there. That is why they only ran it a few times. Maroney has only carried 126 times this year for a total of 529 yards, 4.2 per carry. Sammy...
That is what happens when you win a lot and have a pinup boy quarterback. A new breed of fan comes in that knows nothing about football and not much about the Patriots and are only there because it is a scene. Plus we are spoiled. The crowd for Philadelphia was shocked that it was a close...
Exactly. So how would the motivation affect the Jaguars coming to town as the biggest playoff underdog in the history of the NFL playing a team that hasn't lost to anyone all year?
Re: Loss against Steelers would be a good thing
Without glasses, I see a team worn down and on the ropes against inferior opponents and a head coach who never shows his hand saying that we are a tired team and the second best team we've played this year coming to town on a short week. A...
Re: Loss against Steelers would be a good thing
I never said intentional and I know there is too much pride on this team for that. I said a loss, and I expect one, not because the Steelers are the better team, but because the Pats are 100% spent. If they rise to it and take the Steelers...
Re: Loss against Steelers would be a good thing
But it will change the way we approach the playoffs rather than if we are going in trying to preserve an undefeated season. More pressure added than just trying to win a playoff game. Perhaps Bill will change his approach regardless of...
Re: Loss against Steelers would be a good thing
Just the way I see it. And it is about folding under the pressure with this team, because there is pressure. More so than just winning football games. One L will alleviate a lot of that pressure.
Re: Loss against Steelers would be a good thing
If they should lose this game, it would change the focus of the last few games of the season from going undefeated to working towards the playoffs. Therefore, we can write off the Giants game as a preseason game. Vanilla playcalling with...
Re: Loss against Steelers would be a good thing
We shall see how it plays out. I'm not going to be upset if the Steelers run with it on Sunday. After what I've seen the last couple of weeks, I'm expecting it. If the Pats rise to it and win, more credit to them. I think this team is spent...
Re: Loss against Steelers would be a good thing
I don't think so. It would lift a huge weight of scrutiny off their shoulders and we can refocus on what the real goal is heading towards the playoffs.
