    Brady to attend SB ceremony

I believe the only Super Bowl MVPs that will not be there are Harvey Martin (deceased), Bart Starr and Chuck Howley.

The League Sucks, and is injured. Does that bother anyone?

It might go out of fashion for a season or two but for some reason the meme of "the running QB is the wave of the future" just keeps coming back.

The League Sucks, and is injured. Does that bother anyone?

Since the NFL expanded to 32 teams there have been 25 teams that had perfect records after week 6. There have also been 22 teams that were winless. This season there are 5 undefeated teams and 0 winless teams. Since the league is always .500 that means there are more teams with losing records...

Former Patriot guard Sam Adams passes away at 67

Bill Lenkaitis was a C/G for the Patriots in the 1970's and was also a dentist. He spoke at my Pop Warner team banquet and said the Dolphins would win the Super Bowl that year. (and they did)

Goodell being interviewed for 60 mins

There's no doubt that this will be a interview completely scripted by the NFL. CBS won't risk the NFL TV rights by asking him tough questions.

    Kensil

Kraft should at least bar this guy from coming on his property ever again. If he shows up have him arrested for trespassing. The same goes for Goodell.

    Holland vs. Munson

In terms of trying to overturn on the basis of fact finding yes but that's not the basis of the case. United States code of law Title 9(arbitration) chapter 1 section 10 (a) In any of the following cases the United States court in and for the district wherein the award was made may make an...

Brady has hired Jeffrey Kessler as per Schefter

Perhaps they'll use the argument that the NFL came down on Brady so hard as revenge for being the lead plaintiff in the anti-trust case during the 2011 lockout. It might even be true.

Source: Aqib Talib wants top-of-the-market deal

I'd rather pay Talib and use the 1st round pick on a DL. For some reason the Patriots seem to miss on most of their high draft picks for DB and WR but do much better with OL and DL.

Owners vote unanimously to opt out of CBA

It's illegal for the players to go on strike before the CBA runs out. It's also illegal for the owners to lockout the players in the last year of the CBA.

Owners vote unanimously to opt out of CBA

The owners have an anti-trust exemption that allows them to pool TV revenue. The owners do not have an anti-trust exemption for practices like the draft and salary cap. They are currently allowed to have these because they're part of a collective bargaining agreement. If the union dissolves...

Peter King Wow! Where do I begin?

IMO King is a pretty good reporter but he's a bad analyst. His opinions match the opinions of whoever the last person to talk to him about the subject was. He seems like a decent guy and people talk to him. As long as you realize what he writes is somebodies agenda it's worth reading him...

    Massarotti is on WEEI

My guess is that there probably was never any source. He thought the rumor was true but couldn't prove it. Then he saw some guy from the NY Times was on the story and feared he was going to beat him to it. Maybe he thought " If I just pretend I have a source and get to print first I'll get the...

    Poll: Tomase a victim?

Re: Poll: Tomasse a Victim? There's 2 things a newspaper reporter can't do. You can't use someone else's work and present it as your own and you can't write fiction and present it as fact. It's also a bad idea to write a story that gets the readers to boycott your paper and companies that...

Tom Curran's and Felger's defense of Tomase is weak at best

That's been heard from enough people that it 's probably a talking point from the Herald's legal or PR department. Pathetic spin.

OWNERS might opt out of CBA... [merged]

Re: OWNERS might opt out of CBA... http://www.forbes.com/lists/2007/30/biz_07nfl_St-Louis-Rams_307693.html According to Forbes the Rams had 2006 revenues of $193 mil with profits of $17.9 million. They placed the value of the team at $903 million. Almost all the owners are making...

OWNERS might opt out of CBA... [merged]

Re: OWNERS might opt out of CBA... They have a hard cap already. What else do they want?

What authority does Arlene Sphincter have...

Re: What authority does Arlene Sphincter have..... Don't bet on it. Specter is bought and paid for by Comcast, Leahy is owned by Time Warner. This issue is just a small part of the cable companies battle with the NFL over the Sunday Ticket package and the NFL Network.

More NY Times crap about the Patriots...

That was part of the Collective Bargaining Agreement and is unrelated to the Competition Committee. It's really too bad the NFL didn't do an investigation when the Colts were caught piping in sound to drown out the Patriots signals last year. Instead they invented a story about it being a...

Specter: Goodell's explanations don't pass scrutiny

Re: Breaking "Spygate" news The NFL's anti-trust exemption is limited to allowing them to sell TV rights as a single entity and to share the revenue among the teams equally. If this gets revoked it will be popular with no voters and will be extremely unpopular with a large minority of...
