Hi Pats Family. Pardon me if this was posted, as it is dated 2/1 and the original letter was sent in December 2015. I did a search and did not see this anywhere. But if it has been posted, mods please merge.

Angry at his pen pal:
About the Pats:
I know there is a lot of disdain on the board for him (and rightfully so), but I thought it was an interesting read, nonetheless.
No disdain here. I don't hate people, only their actions, but everyone has a chance at redemption, IMO.
I read this a long time ago. Everyone made a biggie out of the cinderblock comment. I'm guilty of telling someone to jump off a cliff, it doesn't mean that I actually meant it or that I'm a murderer, but I digress.
I believe he trashed Robert Kraft and his fake loyalty in the same letter (that was the most interesting bit for me). He was and still remains adamant about his being innocent of the crime he was charged with. I'm somewhere in the middle with Hernandez, because I can't see anything proving he did it or anything proving he didn't do it. IF he really is innocent, I'm sure he knows who did it, but thugs don't snitch. Stupid, yes, but he was born in bred in the streets and recruited by the posse, I expect no less from him.
It actually was not as big of a shock to me because I was living in Gainesville at the same time he attended UF (I finished two years prior) and stories of his antics abound. People still talk about him to this day. Everybody knew Meyer was covering sh*t up. EVERYONE! My only run in with him was at a club. He literally sat up on the bar and yelled out for any girl who was so inclined to come over and suck his hot dog right there. Of course nobody did at the bar, but I'm pretty sure he went home with a few. He was hot sh*t and the girls loved the dude. He got special treatment by everyone (as did all the ball players at that time) and he took advantage of every ounce of it.
It wasn't a shock to me either. I only needed to know his background to see he had it rough. It ain't easy for guys like him to escape that kind of life, so they strive within it. I just don't believe he killed Lloyd, because as far as I know from the case, he had no reason to, but I don't know everything, so he may have had a reason.
If the stories of his antics are true, then I'm sure nothing changed for him in New England. During the investigation, they brought up all sorts of police reports and incidents regarding Hernandez, since he's been a Patriot. The way these teams keep tabs on their players, especially the troubled ones, there is no way no-one can convince me that Kraft and/or Belichick weren't aware of it and didn't cover for him, in some cases, like the Steelers did for their rapist QB and the Falcons did for their dog fighting thug QB, or like the Ravens did for that girl beating scrub at RB. As long as these deviants can still produce and add on to the team's success, the teams will do any and everything to protect them-- including the Patriots, who were probably no more surprised than I was, when the story broke. I would assume the Patriots run background checks on their employees. They knew. I found it shady that Hernandez would call the coaches over, that lived next door to him, before he called a lawyer. Clean up crew, maybe? It probably wasn't the first time.
I love my team, but I ain't about to play blind in some attempt to paint them as saints. When there's green and success involved, everybody becomes corrupt. The whole entertainment industry is corrupt. Who would be surprised about NFL and their teams being corrupt?
Wake up, people!
