Harper, on the other hand, has been overlooked or unfairly maligned by some due to one mistake. Kid has serious quickness to be an effective inside guy and will get looks with Edelman and Amendola recuperating from surgeries. Legitimate binky eligible candidate.

One mistake? That was a BIG mistake. It changed the momentum of the most important game of the year. It arguably cost us homefield advantage which then cost us a Super Bowl

Pretty friggin big mistake

I'm still trying to figure out what went wrong with the recent promising OTA/minicamp/training camp/preseason careers of Markell Carter, Matt Stankiewitch, Zach Sudfeld, TJ Moe, and the player I was personally (and solely) convinced would become a starter by now, Kanorris Davis.

I nominate all of the above as part of the inaugural Michael Bishop Annex to the Pats Hall of Fame at Patriot Place. Fan voting for that contingent would be more interesting than the current NEP HoF process.

Shockmain Davis, Freddy Boom Boom Coleman
Garrett Mills
Tony Carter
Dan Klecko
TJ Carter
Jeremy Mincey
Donald Hayes
Monty Biesal
Laurence Maroney
Chad Jackson
Dominique Easley
I could go on

Whoa whoa, what's with the Harper hate going on here?

I wonder if Stork won the fight

While it's too early to see anything definitive. Nink on the inside is pretty cool but concerned how that might adversely impact the pass rush.

Just gotta see....
It wouldn't adversely impact the pass rush at all considering Ninkovich isn't a good pass rusher.

He's not Von Miller or JJ Watt but Ninkovich is a damn good football player. He shows up in big games and makes plays at key times. That sack on R. Wilson in the Super Bowl was one of the key plays coming down the stretch of that game.

He's certainly lost a step or two, but he's also averaged about 7-8 sacks per year over the last five seasons. I believe that he's got 37 over that time span.

Ninkovich will still have a nice role on this team due to his versatility and work ethic, but he'll have to settle for less money moving forward if he wishes to stay. I agree with you that Ninkovich seems to be unremarkable or underwhelming, but he's the kind of guy that Belichick loves to have on his football team, at least for another season or two.

It's really funny how people love to bash on Dobson endlessly while they remain mute on Chris Harper despite him committing arguably the biggest screwup of the entire season, which again arguably cost us a game with homefield advantage on the line
I think its different when u have some UDFA guy quick as Edelman vs some 2nd round pick who should contribute first year. First is everyone binkie so he can make mistakes and he ll be Edelman for sure, but second one has to be Randy Moss 2 but he wont cause he is already marked as bust.

I really liked Dobson, dont know why ppč forgetting that pats doctors screw with his foot. Maybe this is related to his later injuries. Hope that he ll be ok, but i wont be surprised if he ll be cut in the middle of the season if another injury happen. But going after him like Dropson and stuff is really inmature. Give a guy a chance. If he is injury prone he is injury prone, but critisise him over few games of playing.....

The great cannot be forgotten....

I guess we know who your binkie is! He came out early and overcame tremendous odds to make the 53 as an UDFA last year, and he returns despite the muff, so people smarter than us obviously see potential there.

Nothing worse than a smelly muff.

We're really going there huh? If I was English I would say "I have had it with all this bloody muff talk!"

On a side note Harper must be so disappointed. If he wanted to avoid a muff he should have yelled for a Peter.

(Peter is what you yell on a punt if you choose to let it go and decline to try to catch it in case some people don't know)

so you're saying that Harper should have followed the Peter principle?

Sudfeld was a preseason legend!

Speaking in my own defense, I was kidding about him being dead to me. That's why I placed a smile at the end. I only brought him up to appease @NG Pats Fan who was bothered by the Dobson negativity and threw Harper under the bus. :)
