OMG! You guys are soooo done! Denver got Sanchez! We're are gonna just DOMINATE this year!! SMH. All the Bronco fans here in CO are just sick about this. We are containing the disdain because FO doesn't want him starting and might trade him. I hope butt fumble never gets in the jersey. As I don't want to have to cheer for him. Just thought I'd give y'all something to laugh at. As Denver fans are just

I would still welcome Boldin. He's a tough SOB and he would be a great veteran presence. We can all hold hands and pray that an ounce or two of his toughness might just rub off on Dobson.

You're telling me Elway might trade the guy he just traded for this week? The only QB with starting experience on his roster?

Lloyd was not on the team for the 2011 Superbowl. He was signed for the following season, however you still make a point, since we had AH to fill that outside the numbers role.

Good catch. Thanks for the clarification. As you mention, the general point still stands, though.

Name me some teams that have a guy behind the top 2 receivers (WR & TE) that can step up and take over consistently when he becomes the #1 thing the defense tries to take away.

Didn't hear people *****ing about no #2 WR when they were putting up 30+ in the first half of the season before the injuries to basically everyone on offense except for Brady and White happened.

I also can't really buy into the theory about the X WR and the SB.. Because there was a good chance they would have gone to the SB if Ghost doesn't miss the XP or BB decides to kick a FG with 5 minutes left instead of going for it and I know you'll say "but they didn't go to the SB" and that's fine you can take that stance but reality is Ghost hits the XP or BB takes the 3, good chance Pats are in the SB.

Also with this offense in its current state I think a solid #1 RB is as important as the X WR, maybe even slightly more important. People are really underselling Blount going out in the Texans game. Ya he's not some elite back but he was having a solid season, was on pace for 1000 yards and when he went down that was it for the running game .

The idea of having a solid WR2 isn't exactly a new concept.

If you don't believe it to be an area that needs to be addressed, that's fine, but many would disagree with you.

As you mention, having a solid RB could offset that as well.

Denver had DT, Sanders, and Thomas.

New Orleans had a few decent options when paired with Graham before he was traded.

Seattle now has Graham and some nice depth on their receiving corps.

Cincy had the league leading TE in terms of touchdown receptions, AJ Green, Jones, and Sanu.

Pittsburgh has a solid TE and several decent weapons surrounding him.

Arizona has a pretty solid corps of players on that side of the ball.

Mike Reiss put in his notes that Steelers CB Antwon Blake is visiting this weekend. Hadn't seen it posted anywhere.

I don't think that's a good thing, considering how he was a huge part of their secondary struggles.

I wonder if there's some uncertainty about the return of Brown?

Brown's a free agent and coming back off a relatively serious injury, so that could certainly factor into things.

man i hope so but it seems doubtful.

weddle seems like he's on his way to the squealers..

I don't doubt it but is there a reasonably reliable source saying this?

Boldin's true value is after Thanksgiving.

I'd love to see a solid, physical, vet presence who can go over the middle, work the outside a bit, and offer another RZ target.

With Hogan getting 4m a year average, it's hard to see Boldin taking much less, though. Maybe he'd sign for 3m a year or so.

The longer he is available, the more I like our chances.

No. Hasn't been one report about Weddle since the report that he narrowed it down to 4 teams. Which there hasn't even been anything reliable on which 4 teams it is.

Pats need Weddle about as much as they need another major injury

Weddle would be great, but I have a feeling he doesn't want to be here to split time with McCourty and Chung. Maybe a place like Pittsburgh, where he can start. I'd love to be wrong though...

At this point, resigning Blount, grabbing Boldin and a guy like Chris Long would make this a pretty solid Free Agency.
