NE needs to clog the middle and make Manning throw outside. Don't give him easy completions. Easier said than done, of course.
I actually think he's more comfortable throwing outside now, where he can lead the receiver away from the defensive player, and toward the sideline. He throws those deep outs still, but he needs to throw the ball extremely early in order for it to arrive on time. He also still throws a few deep balls a game (always overshoots) in order to keep corners honest.

Wanna see keshawn be a factor here. He's gaining confidence little by little

I think we win this game but some things that concern me.

#1 Ryan on DT - This worked out great last game by Ryan was playing his best football ever on an amazing streak. He has come down to earth since then and looks more like the 2013 Ryan. Hopefully he can regain form. I don't move Butler off Sanders though.

#2 Broncos DL vs Pats OL - The Pats OL with Vollmer back finally started to look pretty decent again. However KC's DL was hurt (particularly DEs). This is going to be a much harder match up. Even if Vollmer plays very well I have a hard time believing Cannon can hold up near as well as he did last game. One good game does not indicate a trend. Hopefully the Pats OL can put another one together.

#3 LB snaps - This is the kind of game you really need both Collins and Hightower (particularly Hightower) on the field near wire to wire. This team will try to run on you and without them in there it will get bad fast. The drop off is too great.

When will the officiating crew be announced? There were at least two PI calls on Talib not called vs. Pitt. Not saying that Pitt didn't benefit from some calls either but the last NE - Denver game was blatantly pro Denver from the officials.

If the Pats (Collins in particular) are healthy, apart from fluky stuff I don't see many scenarios where Denver wins.

That's the way I look at games...what is the range of outcomes? Brady, Gronk and Edelman are playing...Pats score in the 20s at least. So, can Denver score in the 20s? That's their maximum upside.

So...the Pats could win a blowout, or win a close one. There's a really wide spectrum of different ways the Pats can win--if this game happens 10 times, the Pats win 9. Denver can't blow the Pats out. They need everything to go their way--turnovers, etc.--while hoping the Pats aren't healthy. Even then, they have to hope for that 1 out of 10 game to happen...the scenario the Broncos win is something like 24-23.

Me, I'll take the 90% odds. Hell, that might be conservative.

I share your concerns. Throw in the DEN running game too and a-hole Kubiak's crack-back blocking scheme.

I assume you're right because I have no idea, but he played well against the Pats when it counted in our game with them this year.

I mean pass rushing pressure. I should have been more clear, sorry.

You are very confident. I believe in NE and believe they'll need their best game to win in DEN on Sunday. I don't think it will be easy. And I think if these teams play 10 times, NE wins 6 or 7. Playing in DEN is holding me back from being as confident as you.

Just saw the latest Broncos whiner moaning about Gronk pushing off.

Sowing the seeds in the minds of the referees ready for Sunday.

That's a concern...if the game's in New England, Pats win 19 times out of 20 probably.

But remember, last game the Pats were up 21-7 in the 4th quarter before the muffed punt, and that team was a shadow of this one.

The Chris Harris injury is big. If they can get Gronk to run over Talib then the 2ndary will be decimated. I am hoping for a big lead as Brady puts pressure on Manning to throw and match him resulting in INTs galore!

I remember. I had picked NE to lose that game. Much better feeling having Edelman and Amendola back. Just hope Collins, Hightower and Mayo are effective on Sunday.

The Broncos players comments and fan message boards are full of fear. Typically when we've played them, they seem a lot more confident and a lot less terrified. Fear leads to name calling.

Well, Bedard on Squeaky and the Douche has it 42-17 Pats, so we've got /that/ going for us!

CANNOT WAIT for Inside the NFL and see how those guys decipher the match up, etc. I bet Marshall picks Denver. :)

I don't know if this was already said or not but the Donkeys have a real chance to advance, only because they are a healthier bunch. The only key player they lost was Clady. We're down a few key players plus the ones that keep getting banged up (Collins, Dont'a, Gronk, Jones). Otherwise, if we had Solder, Dion, Easley, Wendell, Blount, we'd roll this team and any other team out there.

It sounds like Harris is in bad shape and Bolden (Omar) is done for the year. Look what happened with the Steelers when Brown wasn't around to field kicks this past sunday.

I think that loss to the Eagles (where he couldn't hold on to Brady's final pass for a first down) did something to him.

Altho Mayo just hit the injured reserve list, the Pats are pretty healthy. They were pretty much decimated the 1st game. Brady was as predictable as he could be, yet the Broncos had to get a little lucky to pull it out. I think Manning will be as motivated as he ever has been because I believe his next loss to be his last one, at least in a Broncos uniform.
However, I don't think anyone in the league has more motivation than Brady right now. I think the one thing he wants to do more than anything is to watch goodell hand the Lombardi trophy to the Pats.
When Brady has a healthy receiving corps and that kind of motivation I just don't see him losing.
Should be a good game tho. Denver still has a ferocious D and Brady is going to have to have some time. The Pats O line, tho improved, is still a question in my mind.
