anyway.....back to the original point

Jones will likely not be punished, but he's an idiot

Wow. I'm clueless about this. Thanks.

US drug policy is really weird, see this article for instance: The Supreme Court's new decision on 'bath salts,' explained

In part it's because you can't ban everything that could potentially be used as a drug for a number of reasons. First, someone will come up with something new. Second, a lot of things that can be used to induce a high or something like it are common products with other uses. As someone in the thread mentioned earlier, glue, gasoline, and spray paint are legal to own, but huffing glue, gasoline, or spray paint is really dumb.

At a certain point you have to trust people to not be idiots, and most importantly to treat the underlying causes of the drug use. Some may be experimentation, and that happens (and you hope it doesn't have any long-term health effects), but abuse of any drug (including and even especially legal ones, like alcohol) is almost always tied to mental health issues.

He was the guy I was thinking about. 8m after body slamming a woman on top of a bunch of guns.

"But she scratched him. He was in fear for his life."

It really is absurd. You can smoke fake grass legally and loose your whits about you but you can't buy a bottle of beer on Sundays at Market Basket?

With that said, there a little section in the Stop & Shop in Westboro near where I live but its ridiculously overpriced.

In Wegman's in Northboro the have a kick-ass section. Its a full-blown liquor store with a very good wine and beer selection.

I vacation in Maine and in Hannaford also has beer, wine and booze. Its like I'm being naughty.

This state is so bass-akwards....

It's much better now than it was a few years ago. Next step is to allowing wine distributors to ship wine into Mass direct to doorstep.

I'll let you know when I get there. Probably will die of old age first.

I will say that looking back at my forties I did stuff that seems youthful folly now. Point is that experience is a dear teacher, but the most effective one. It's less age than experience. Or as one of my flight instructors used to say, good judgement comes from experience, and experience comes from poor judgement. CJ just got some experience...

Story of my life. haha

Great quote btw.

Oh dear, I didn't read this last page, where people started posting links to the dictionary. That's my favorite form of internet argumentation.

I would call it more of a squabble than an argument. I've provided the links to each definition for your reference. hahahaha

squabble - Google Search (<<<< LINK)

squab·ble
ˈskwäbəl/
noun
  1. 1.
a noisy quarrel about something petty or trivial.

ar·gu·men·ta·tion
ˌärɡyəmənˈtāSH(ə)n/
noun
  1. the action or process of reasoning systematically in support of an idea, action, or theory.

No it was not. It was just someone wanting to try to impress people that don't give a ****.
Impress? How is expressing an opinion on important life issues trying to impress anyone? I'm trying to stir up constructive, genuine dialogue on complex, important subjects. It's not only to share an opinion and teach, it is also to learn. Often, such conversations lead to a realization that I am wrong. It happens often, and has multiple times for me on this very forum.

It would appear it's been coming off as condescending, and/or trying to impress by others. I assure you, that was never the intent and I will dial it back. In the future, I will keep conversation on deep or important subjects on forums dedicated to such topics. You'll still have to live with my bad sense of humor. Go Pats.

Dude smoked fake weed. Dead story is dead
It's really not a big deal. It's an embarrassing moment for him but it doesn't reflect poorly on the team. And TBH I doubt it is that much of a distraction like some make it out to be.

If those false rumors had been true about Gronk then maybe it would have been more of a distraction.

Do you have any idea how relatively good we have it? Look at PA liquor laws...

No question. The Puritans were far more socially liberal than the Quakers.

Question, just heard on the radio that the patriots head of security is also the police chief....is this true? If so is it common?

espn stooge and lolphins fanboy dan lebatard apparently is going on rant on his radio show that this thing i being covered up by the Pats and the police and no one cares.

Cover up? Uh Not sure when the story gets out only 2 days later that it can be considered a cover-up.

You know NFL.com hasn't even ran a story on this, and yet here this is the story of the year for people. Chandler used some bad judgement, but he's obviously good to go. Move along, now.

Then you haven't truly lived.
You are guessing my life adventures when making such a bold statement. How do you define "truly lived"?

As it pertains to the OP, in the case of synthetic weed, I don't need to have tried, or lived, it for my common sense receptors to stand at attention and quickly shut down my "I should try this" emotions and feelings. And I almost certainly wouldn't need to be older than 25 for that to happen.

No. He's stadium security, you know because Gillette Stadium is in his town. Head of security is still Mark Briggs (the bald guy you see with BB when he goes across the field to shake the other coaches hand)

Than it's being reported wrong on espn radio......shocker!
