Per Vic Lombardi, expect to see Peyton Manning on injury report with a foot injury

It's halfway through the season and he still looks like **** and has more picks than TDs. FFS, he's been so bad that a 325 yard, 0 TD / 1 INT game two weeks ago was billed as "he just proved he's still the best!", despite that performance being worse than any game Brady's played since week 5 of last year.

Now that the elephant in the room can no longer be ignored, I think everyone realizes that it's time to be candid about the fact that he's just not good anymore. Which means admitting that he's breaking down, I guess.

Peyton Manning has a possible foot injury?

Expect to see Peyton Manning's name on the injury report today. Foot injury. I'll share more details on the @FanMorningShow.

Note: I will follow this and update this thread.

Currently Listening to: KKFNFM

"Should not impact his availability for this Sundays game"

"Not sure the extent of his injury yet"

Sounds like they are pumping this for clicks and to play the "manning is playing through injury tough guy" schtick.

@shmessy or Mods please delete this thread if you deem necessary.

It's getting to the point where he needs to start thinking about the quality of his health and life after football. He has nothing to prove and is approaching the point of not being able to have a semi normal life after football.

.....until the NFL unveils a little used tiebreaker rule that when both teams are undefeated the tie breaker is team name alphabetically.

I root for the AA-Patriots.

I doubt both teams will go 16-0 for various reason but if they both got close I would bet that the Patriots would be able to handle the immense pressure of going undefeated because they've been there before and that Dalton and crew would just crumble.

I imagine the conference tie breaking procedures would follow the same as divisional. Which would come down to Strength of victory or schedule.

NFL Tiebreaking Procedures

Two Clubs
  1. Head-to-head (best won-lost-tied percentage in games between the clubs).
  2. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the division.
  3. Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games.
  4. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference.
  5. Strength of victory. (the composite record of teams defeated) (Pats lead by 4 games atm)
  6. Strength of schedule. (the composite record of all opponents)
  7. Best combined ranking among conference teams in points scored and points allowed.
  8. Best combined ranking among all teams in points scored and points allowed.
  9. Best net points in common games.
  10. Best net points in all games.
  11. Best net touchdowns in all games.
  12. Coin toss

If it gets down to #12.. then it's a lock for us. :)

Roger might have to enact the emergency "best 2 out of 3" rule in that case.

He's playing for the last 3 passing yards at this point....

That was a wonderful moment during the Colts game. They had the HOF guy standing on the sideline, wonderful Yards to go countdown illustrations and the game basically ends with him throwing an INT.

hahahahaha

Classic Peyton. hahahaha

And over at orange Mane:

This may be the end of the line, ladies and gentlemen.

The fans in Denver are getting antsy with their $17.5 million quarterback who has another year on his deal that puts a whopping $21.5 million on their salary cap in 2016. Wisely, Elway structured it so that he can cut Manning before next season and eat only $2.5 million in dead money.

The Patriots game is looming large, for sure. It may be the last of the Manning - Brady showdowns, and a decisive game for playoff seeding, particularly with the Bengals playing so well. This foot injury bears some serious watching.

I'm starting to think we may not see him in that game. This injury noise is to set a predicate for sitting him right after he gets that 3 yds or whatever he needs for the yardage record (Btw, is that for regular season or the playoffs, Mr. Manning?).

Playing PM every other week isnt a bad thing.

Not sure how much it would help.

Wonder if he'll blame the OL and Thomas like he did for his 2nd interception on Sunday

Was this in a post game press conference? I still remember when he said "that guy shouldn't have been there" when Ninkovich intercepted. Refusing to accept he got fooled. Shameful.

Ya. Don't remember what verbatim he said but it was something like

"There was some pressure and and their guy got to the ball first"

Which is basically Manning's way of saying the OL didn't block and Thomas wasn't where he was suppose to be.

Phil Simms: "Now, you see, that's why he hasn't been able to put velocity on his throws, because you need to step into your throws and with an injured foot you just can't do that, it's not Peyton's fault blame the offensive line."

Needs more: "Well Jim, we talked about it..."

Talib out, Ware out, and now Peyton is hurt. If KC can't win on Sunday, they should be removed from the NFL and transferred to some female arena football league.

Get ready to be disappointed. The Broncos are fortunate to play against the Chiefs and Chargers four times a year, two teams that are perennial losers by self-inflicted wounds and knowing only how to lose games against good teams. Both teams have plenty of talent but will always find a way to pull out a loss, even if they outplay Denver. Oakland, on the other hand, lacks the talent to compete but doesn't suffer from lack of confidence/idiotic coaching and penalties down the stretch.
