Well, if you're being waived by any team so they can sign Cadet, you're probably done in the NFL.
Gabbert to Cadet, sounds lethal 3rd down combo

I disagree, it took Edelman 4 or 5 years to break out. Bolden looked great when he came in. While that may not continue, I think we have a capable back up, that looked sure handed in the passing game and broke off a nice run or two. Bolden may be due to breakout. BB doesn't just keep playersaying around for no reason.
One of our best pass rushers on the team IMOBolden is one of the most underrated players on the roster.

Daryl Richardson could be an interesting choice for some running back depth
Does Bolden look like he lost a little weight? There are very good reasons to keep Bolden around... they just don't have much to do with his RB skills.

He's serviceable. That's about it.I don't know, but he's jacked as all ****. Total special team stud. I love having him on the team, I just think his RBs skills get overstated.
Maybe rice-a-roni.If the Niners cut him, he's probably toast.
This from the San Jose Mercury News on Pierre Thomas being released -
"After ending his eight-year tenure with the Saints last season, Thomas trained in Chicago all year on his own and did not practice with a NFL team all year until joining the 49ers last week. Thomas indicated Friday he was sore from those initial practices and not in football shape."
So maybe the 49ers just didn't have the patience to wait for Thomas to get NFL ready. It doesn't look to have anything to do with Thomas being injured. Granted, the Pats drafted White to play and this is his chance. but a certified star 3rd down back wouldn't hurt to have around if he can still move, so maybe Thomas hears his phone ring and then, "Hi, Pierre, this is Bill Belichick..."
If he can't keep himself in shape that's likely worse than an injury especially considering how many teams were RB needy in the offseason. He should probably just retire.
In shape and in football shape are completely different things.
Hard to keep in football shape without being on a football team.
