Bedard goes after F&M?

Bedard is an idiot.

Most sports scribes, radio and tv folks are idiots in this market.. there are a very few who have been consistent all the way through this idiotic mess... Tom E. Curran, Shalize Young, Zolak, Bertram, Holley, Arnold then the list gets real thin. There have been more wafflers than those who have stuck by Brady throughout this whole mess..

Could also include the morning moonbats on EEI.. but if I mentioned their name a little girls puppy would die...

I will actually defend Bedard here. Hard to find three downs in this game. I wouldn't have chosen Mason, but other than Fletcher no one really stood out. I think Mason was a bad choice though.
Fletcher - obvious, Solder - whiffed to cause a strip sack, maybe Edelman - too many drops, Blount - really didn't do crap even though he was barely used, Chandler - back to back end zone drops... You can find little "downs" if you think about it... I think of a "down" as someone not performing quite at their expected level or making a big gaffe. Mason did as much as anyone could expect of him at this point, likely more.

the DL was young, all-pro corner....allowed more than 20 5 times all year including the playoffs.......
Sure, I'd give 2007 mayne the top three DL (although I might want Jones over Warren), but after that, the depth is all with 2015. They had one pretty good corner. The other was Ellis Hobbs. They we're playing the corpse of Rodney Harrison and -Brandon Merriweather- at safety. I'd take 2015 linebackers hands down.

I think Solder was solid in the game other than one play which you can argue was Brady's fault since he held onto the ball too long.

I hope Mazz takes Bedard to the woodshed. Nothing would be better than that a-hole getting schooled by an idiot like Mazz.

Geez, Rob. That's harsh. I think Squeaky is one of the most profoundly irritating sports douches anywhere. I guess you REALLY don't like Bedard.

I think Solder did well overall too, just figured there was more basis to say he was "down" just because he had that one whiff that had a disastrous result.

I'll take 2007 Vrabel over anything that Jones has done to date

Vrable was a linebacker. You'd have to take him over Collins of Hightower. I'd probably take him over 2015 Mayo.

Mazz is what he is. Bedard was supposed to be intelligent and rational. I hate Mazz, but he is just an idiot. I used to respect Bedard. I know Felger is just a character he created for the air. I have low expectations for Felger and Mazz, but Bedard really pissed me off this offseason.

Flipped it on for 2 seconds and they were on the 3 up/down segment. Bedard had Shaq Mason as his #1 Down.

Rookie who is basically new to pass blocking because he played for a running offense going up against the Bills interior in his 2nd game and he is Bedard's #1 down because he gave up 2 hurries and a knockdown in 57 snaps played.

Total BS. My only real concern going into that game was how would the Oline hold up against the Bills all star Dline and they more than exceeded my expectations.

I give that Oline an A plus for that performance.

splitting hairs........jones spends plenty of time standing up and vrabel spent plenty of time with his hand on the ground......BB has blurred away from a straight up 3-4, but Vrabel would be interchangeable with Jones

Ok. I'd still take Jones over Warren. And all the linebackers if you're going to count Vrabel as DLine.

Ya but the thing is Mason was his #1, Fletcher was his #2. That was the problem I had with it. In no way was Mason more of a down in that game than Fletcher. I know it was tough to pick from that game but clearly anyone's #1 down coming out of that game should be Fletcher, not Mason.

The easy 3 downs.

1. Fletcher on the PI
2. Fletcher on getting burned for TD
3.Fletcher for even on the field.

there's a bigger difference between warren and jones than vrabel and jones....warren would be a DT on this team

I like the 2015 defense for what it shows it could be....2 weeks in, I am a little worried about setting the edge, mayo maybe losing a step ...... but they need to find someone to replace bradley fletcher.......that's a hole right there

i didn't notice Mason......and since they almost always passed the ball, that's a good thing

Heh. Yeah. Not sure he's worse than Ellis Hobbs though. Maybe this kid they brought in, Justin Coleman will get a shot. There's always Logan Ryan as well!

Because before the season began, Felger confidently predicted there wasn't the slightest chance Moss would do -anything-, and in fact, he didn't expect him to get even 40 catches.
I remember that. He isn't all that good at predicting. Does anyone remember when he mocked Patriots fans for being high on Edleman because of his preseason play when he was a rookie? He compared our excitement to liking Bam Childress for being good in the preseason and that Edleman wouldn't amount to anything.

Briefly he did. A lot of arguing about whether this team is better than '07 which Felger firmly believes. Don't really understand the background of Felgers seething hatred for Randy Moss.

It's a Packers thing.

Moss owned the Packers.

Sanders was the starter at safety next to Rodney. But he sucked too, so your point stands.
