(Link) That same shady Colts ballboy who measured the ball

Well, that was a Colt's ball, so maybe the fat guy / equipment manager was just trying to keep track of all their balls. He was afraid that the Bills player would take the ball to their sidelines and possibly examine it, and doctor it to accuse the Colts of tampering....Not like that would ever happen.

It is odd, even the bill's guy looked at him. I would not doubt that something was wrong.

So does that behavior stand out compared to how other teams keep control of their balls? It's not something I paid much attention to before.

How about compared to how the Colts handled it last year? Is that the same equipment manager?

Yikes! That was like Gronk last Thurs jumping on the Lewis fumble on the goal line.

Very strange behavior. I demand a congressional investigation! Where is Harry Reid?

what exactly is the rule on that now? When you get an interception or recover a fumble do you get to keep it or do you have to give it back?

I believe the rule is, if a game is selected at random for testing each team must produce the primary set of balls at half time for testing and those balls remain out of circulation. What if one or more of the balls is missing because it was turned over to the other team or ended up in the stands somehow? Do we stop the game, and call Ted Wells to investigate?

Someone get Roger on line one.

Regarding your last question, I don't think we'll see Ted Wells investigating anything for the NFL* again.

The longer we go without seeing this guy's texts and emails, the guiltier he is.

According to Chris Simms this video proves that Brady cheated. I mean why else would a Colts Ball boy be so protective over a kickers football?

conspiracy theory makes little sense as the refs handle the balls every play...oh wait....

Clearly Phil needs to stop taking Chris on road trips to Colorado.

"Chris where d'yall go? Ya were gone for hours."

"Uh, nowhere dad. Say, can we get a pizza and watch 'The Wall".

well that right there is more evidence of ball tampering then the nfl had with the patriots. wheres the fines, lost picks, and massive suspensions?

Jeeze, let's not get carried away here. There was just as much evidence against the Pats as there is in this case.

The good news is that Florio did a post based on the clip. The bad news he doesn't think anything was odd.
"It was simply an equipment man who wanted to make sure the ball that Luck obvious liked best would still be in play". (paraphrase)

I told him his explanation was weak sauce because 3-6 balls (depending on the weather) are always in a regular rotation during a game, so no "one" ball is ever the only ball a QB uses. My response lasted abot 3 minutes before it was deleted by whomever edits his comment pages. Mike doesn't take ANY criticism well. ;)

BTW- why hasn't the NFL commented on any of the new game ball policies they so loudly hailed a few months ago. As far as we know the league has continued the same policies that existed the last 50 years before "framegate" In other words benign neglect.. I wonder if any mediot had the mental dexterity to ask so obvious a question.
