Can the Patriots pull off the upset of the century in Buffalo?

Gary tanguay tells me Rex Ryan is in Brady's head and that Ryan's not afraid of belichick....

We're doomed

I don't know, with a 1 point spread I'm thinking Bills are the safe bet.

Ordway, Merloni and Fauria worked themselves into a negative frenzy today from 10-2. By the end of the show they were all conceding a loss to Rex and the Bills as pretty much a lock and placing Ryan as a top tier head coach in the league. Thankfully, I was on the beach with a full cooler of cold beer. It was empty when they went off the air.

Ordway will not allow that show to turn into another Big Show. He will not allow unabated homerism to run rampid.

I just hope it doesn't turn into The Negative Contrarian Show

Yeah, I think you're take is right. I'm a self-confessed homer, but when the Big Show and Ordway got greased the program had become an embarrassing exercise in homerism. Smerlas, DeOssie and Sheppard were shouting down any caller who even mildly disagreed with them. I think, as you suggest, that Ordway was rehired with the express understanding that a return to that format was not going to be tolerated. I don't think it'll become a contrarian show, but who knows? I think Lou and Faurier try to stay relatively neutral, but I think they both lean strongly toward the home teams. Ordway? In my opinion, he'll swing whichever way the popular wind blows. Once again, just my opinion.

I like Ordway...I really do. Hes relatively informed and does his homework. I like Lou as well. Fauria? Meh.

I also like the occasion homerism. There is nothing wrong with it. As long as its not the default position I'm good with it.

Oh this game is ripe for an upset. A few factors...

1. College type atmosphere.

2. Stout DL going against three rookies on the interior OL for the Pats with a quarterback whose main weakness is A gap pressure.

3. Ryan plays Brady well.

4. Not a lot of tape on Tyrod Taylor and a pass defense that is either in flux or just flat out sucks.

This doesn't mean the Pats will lose. Just that it's a game I could see them losing. If the interior OL holds up, I expect the Pats to exploit the Bills in a big way using 2 and 3TE sets.

Yeah, agreed. As someone who never even seriously entertained the possibility that Pittsburgh might beat us, I wouldn't be at all surprised if the Pats lost this one. I think they'll win, but I can pretty easily see a scenario where they lose. The Bills are a pretty bad matchup for us, at least until there's enough tape on Taylor to see how to exploit him.

Hopefully Bill Belichick is devising new ways to cheat. We're toast without that play sheet!

I think... no, I KNOW we're doomed. They hate us. I mean they reaaallllllyyyy HATE us!

The Patriots have nothing to fight for or against this year. I wish the Pats players would just shut up and stop saying so much stupid crap!

Honestly, do they have any realistic chance of going into Orchard Park on Sunday and coming out with a win? Keep in mind, the last time they played the Bills, they lost at home, and it wasn't even that close. And that was before the Bills became the best team in the NFL history and before Brady started his inevitable decline.

What do you guys think? Is there any hope at all?

I am very concerned about our coaching staff having an answer for the Bills "milling around like a bunch of cows" defense.

Extra powerful stunt gun from the blimp

Lets Go Pats

I'll be wearing my lucky underwear. That'll ensure the Patriots have a chance.:p

LMAO, you guys are such homers. The Patriots were barely able to win their fourth Super Bowl last season and you think they stand a chance against Buffalo? LOL LMAO TOO FUNNY. What a bunch of homers, The Bills are undefeated and already beat this season's world champions, the Patriots are so screwed.

Upset! Really? Last time I checked the patriots are defending champs, not Buffalo.

We are doomed...I tell you...doomed!

That said, this is not going to be a walk in the park...

These are the game I enjoy most in the season. We don't expect a win, and most of us will have crossed this off as a loss as soon as the schedule came out. No pressure, sit in front of the TV and hope for a solid performance. Sometimes, miracles happen. We all know we are playing for a Wild Card spot so hopefully BB won't waste any gimmicks etc on this game and save them for later in the season

Look on the bright side, it's going to be a gorgeous day in Boston on Sunday. When the Patriots are down by 30 at halftime us local fans can turn off the game and go outside and enjoy the weather

I'm changing my name to BillsReign....and you guys are TOAST this Sundie...I mean, Sunday.
