He will not allow unabated homerism to run rampid.Ordway, Merloni and Fauria worked themselves into a negative frenzy today from 10-2. By the end of the show they were all conceding a loss to Rex and the Bills as pretty much a lock and placing Ryan as a top tier head coach in the league. Thankfully, I was on the beach with a full cooler of cold beer. It was empty when they went off the air.
Yeah, I think you're take is right. I'm a self-confessed homer, but when the Big Show and Ordway got greased the program had become an embarrassing exercise in homerism. Smerlas, DeOssie and Sheppard were shouting down any caller who even mildly disagreed with them. I think, as you suggest, that Ordway was rehired with the express understanding that a return to that format was not going to be tolerated. I don't think it'll become a contrarian show, but who knows? I think Lou and Faurier try to stay relatively neutral, but I think they both lean strongly toward the home teams. Ordway? In my opinion, he'll swing whichever way the popular wind blows. Once again, just my opinion.Ordway will not allow that show to turn into another Big Show. I just hope it doesn't turn into The Negative Contrarian Show
I like Ordway...I really do. Hes relatively informed and does his homework. I like Lou as well. Fauria? Meh.Yeah, I think you're take is right. Oh this game is ripe for an upset. A few factors...
1. College type atmosphere.
2. Stout DL going against three rookies on the interior OL for the Pats with a quarterback whose main weakness is A gap pressure.
3. Ryan plays Brady well.
4. Not a lot of tape on Tyrod Taylor and a pass defense that is either in flux or just flat out sucks.
This doesn't mean the Pats will lose. Just that it's a game I could see them losing. If the interior OL holds up, I expect the Pats to exploit the Bills in a big way using 2 and 3TE sets.
Honestly, do they have any realistic chance of going into Orchard Park on Sunday and coming out with a win? Keep in mind, the last time they played the Bills, they lost at home, and it wasn't even that close. And that was before the Bills became the best team in the NFL history and before Brady started his inevitable decline.
What do you guys think? Is there any hope at all?
Hopefully Bill Belichick is devising new ways to cheat. We're toast without that play sheet!
Upset! Really? Last time I checked the patriots are defending champs, not Buffalo.
We are doomed...I tell you...doomed!Honestly, do they have any realistic chance of going into Orchard Park on Sunday and coming out with a win?
