NFL has issued a memo to equipment managers apologizing for the fact that they still haven't gotten their new pressure gauges, per source.

This must have had such an incredible impact on the competitiveness of all pre-season games played so far. It's amazing! All games must be cancelled until this is done since it is ABSOLUTELY VITAL TO THE COMPETITIVE BALANCE IN THE GAME OF FOOTBALL.

Oooorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...they ran out of money to pay for the new gauges after paying Wells and the army of lawyers...

There's a company advertising on WEEI that offers a product that allows you to check air oressure via a mobile device. The NFL might want to look into it.

The fact they screwed up the sting and watched McN walk by them with the balls is all you need to know about "how much this actually IS about ball pressure and integrity".

Pure BS. The most important issue since the 40s and they can't get this set up before preseason games ?!?! Wow. It's difficult to not be angry.

It's difficult to find reliable gauges.

Once nice wrinkle -- since they've lied, and said it wasn't a sting, one can make a strong inference that ball pressure control wasn't important to them.

So once you accept that it has nothing to do with ball pressure, you need to ask yourself. What did Brady do that warrants this type of over-the-top hatred ? It can't be "just jealousy". Can't. And if it's "sticking it to BB", it has gone waaaaaaay overboard.

Makes me angry. I just want to cheer for my fav team 16 weeks in the year and then (usually) during the playoffs.

Maybe setting up a calibration program is the snag.
This was what I was wondering. You can't just buy the gauges and expect them to always be accurate. I imagine they will have to be periodically calibrated, tested, and verified like any piece of equipment used to test things.

No need to check air pressure, when no sting operation is underway.

I doubt they're worrying about becoming ISO certified.

The new "official" NFL gauges are in the final stages of development. Exponent is still trying to make the uplink to Kensils office.

Miraculously on the cold December Night, the gauges will show 13 psi at the end of game with no air lost.

The NFL realizes air pressure is totally inconsequential to the game. It's just that they have to pretend it matters since they started a witch hunt over it.

In a couple years they'll be back to ignoring such frivolous concerns after this particular crisis has served its purpose.

After the first lie, you have to decide if you are "all in" and will put out as many more lies as you need to. Not backing down from lie #1, "11 of 12", snowballed to where we are now. Unbelievable egos. Zero ethics. And perhaps a Super Bowl gambling interest.

I would love for the judge to issue a continuance in the appeal, put the suspension on hold, and order the Nefarious Freaking Liars to use a court appointed service to measure/record the PSI before and after every game. The information would be public, and the appeal resumed after the season.

It would be better still if the NFL* front office had skin in the game and not just Brady.

They should suffer repercussions if the evidence exonerates Brady.

The league is so stupid, and so obvious with this entire manufactured ordeal... it's infuriating.
