Roger Goodell is not the NFL. Brady is Brady.

There's a big difference there.

Actually Goodell isn't the NFL, but he is central to the case, and Brady isn't the NFLPA but he is central to the case.
The judge specifically named them in his initial statement as who should be there.

I wouldn't put it pass the three stooges(Goodell, Wells, Pash) to have nobody show up tomorrow, "You have no jurisdiction int eh state of the nfl Judge berman, so we decided not to come. "

i hope all of this true.
i can see roger invoking his 5th amendment rights. lmao
I'd love to have been in the League Office when they heard about this. Much shouting and cursing I imagine.

With settlement talks going nowhere, Tom Brady has changed his mind and now is expected to rejoin #Patriots tomorrow, per sources.

Brady was in New York for settlement talks today ordered by Judge Berman. "No progress," source said, so he's not staying for hearing.

Brady's plan to attend tomorrow, of course, was with the hope that today's settlement talks would go somewhere. It appears they haven't.

Tom Brady had never fully committed one way or the other to attending tomorrow's meeting. Now getting the impression he won't.

But, Deus, hasn't Goodell, for all intents and purposes, made himself "the NFL." And isn't Brady effectively calling the entire league Office, and its personification/incarnation, Roger Goodell, out by showing up tomorrow?

No...

I won't be surprised if Goodell shows up, though, since it's in NY.

I await the report in a few hours that says he changed his mind again...

We don't know if Berman said that it's not necessary for Brady/GotoHell to be present or if he said he doesn't want them to be present, maybe it's a lawyers meeting only.

Brady was already in NY today, if he is coming back it's because he's been advised to do that. I'm not worried.

Sounds like the judge now knows Brady was willing to attend and told him to keep practicing. Hopefully the judge knows he'll need his practice because he'll be playing on opening night.

Well this must mean that the NFL is still demanding that Brady accept the Wells Report before they even discuss a settlement. I can't imagine that sitting well with the judge, he better rip the NFL apart.

Disagree. I think this a brilliant Chess move by Kessler. He's forcing the NFL's hand. Goodell does not want to be within ten miles of that courtroom if Berman is allowing each side to call witnesses who were directly involved in the Appeal. My guess is that the NFL was going to keep as many of those folks away from the Moynihan building as possible tomorrow to avoid that possibility. If Brady shows, it's almost impossible for Vincent, Wells, Pash et al not to be there, not to mention Goodell.

It's an "End Game" move by Kessler. He's coming right at the King and his Court and daring them not to be there.

Moynihan building, really? But for one little vowel, I'd be nervous, but it looks as though they get along pretty well: http://www.eonline.com/news/551914/...-s-ex-bridget-moynahan-see-the-friendly-photo

I think Berman is poised to verbally rip the NFL apart regardless of whether or not he vacates the "award"

Zolak was saying yesterday that the talks are about fines at this, clearly Brady went to NY to make the EFFORT to settle, Judge Berman is aware of this. If Zolak was right the issue probably is accepting Well's. Berman IMO will not be pleased with Goodell.
