Yet another tide turning article. This one claims victory even if the appeal doesn't goes Brady's way. Then continues on to wipe away numerous trolling type statements.

It takes many swings of an ax to bring a redwood down. I've seen a lot of swinging lately.

For the first time in a long time, we can say something about the Patriots that hasn't been said since the Super Bowl.

They’re winning.

More accurately, they’ve won.

A ruling or settlement on Tom Brady’s federal appeal won’t come down for a while, but make no mistake, the fight is O-V-A-H.

Definitely worth the read. Another scathing dismemberment of the nfl. To top it all off, he addresses damn near anything the mob of idiots would use as "proof."

Awesome piece.

Troy Vincent didn’t know footballs could lose air in cold weather.

That's something known by everyone who has ever owned anything with air in it. How often have you left a basketball in your garage and discovered, when you fetched it days or weeks later, it needed to be pumped up? How often was your reaction: "My God! Someone must have deflated it! There’s no other possible explanation!"

Hallelujah!:D

One nitpicky point though, if your basketball, tires whatever, loses air in cold weather, not only is there not proof the Patriots did anything, they DIDN'T do anything.

Yet another tide turning article.......

A "tide turning article"???????

He's a local nobody at CSNNE.

Son, a "tide turning" piece or comment is when a NATIONALLY known Pats hater comes over from the dark side - - like a Mike Lupica, Stephen A. Smith, Mike Florio, Antonio Cromartie or Terrell Suggs backs Brady.

Not when Joe from the corner deli does it.

A local guy backs Brady. Cool.

.

FYI he's felger and tanguay's boss at CSNNE. They might want to start toning down the rhetoric.

If I'm Zannis I'm bringing a crack pipe to work. How else could you deal with those two idiots on a daily basis?

Hence the "It takes many swings of an ax to bring a redwood down. I've seen a lot of swinging lately." comment. o_O

And we have seen national media pick this up. CNN, Yahoo, SI, WEEI (haha), etc....

Anyways yes it was small potatoes but you have to admit that even locally we had a lot of negative reporting which has also started to sway to the other side of the fence.

I hear ya.

It's nice, but it takes more than a local yokel to make that a "tide turning" article. To put it in your terminology - - the axe swinging has to come from different areas. Nothing by Curran or Reiss will be seen as a "tide turner" either.

Believe me, those of us who live in states outside of the "6" can tell you that a piece by a stage manager on a local CSN is a fart in the wind to this national story.

No tide is turned by Joe from the corner deli.

Now, Patfanken is a different story. :)

I agree that this piece will have little influence outside of this market but inside this market it will have a larger effect. You cannot tell me that the recent events have produced more anti-NFL (not necessarily pro-Brady) articles than we have seen over the last 8 months.

The tide is turning from anti Brady to anti NFL as apposed to anti Brady to pro Brady.

Your point is valid though in that it will take a lot more outside anti-NFL attention to bring down that redwood but both internal and external influence is welcomed.

The New England market does not count.

Goodell and the NFL have been fairly clear about that with their actions.

It counts internally although you may be right in stating that it does not effect the overall "tree" but nevertheless I have heard more positive reports since the release of the transcripts than I heard in the last 6 months which is welcomed.

I have also seen, since the release of the transcripts, a lot of national attention negatively directed at the NFL. That has also been a pleasure to see.

I am not sure what kind of impact all this would have on the overall PR war or whether or not this will help Brady or not but it has definitely been a pleasure to read these type articles.

Footnote: Posting this on my 4th glass of wine.

Then he should be fired for hiring idiots like Felger and Tanguay.

I guarantee that there are a number of national media outlets with journalists pitching the "NFL is nothing but a corrupt, power-mad, bunch of jealous men running a multi-billion dollar business." The parallels to the whole FIFA scandal is too rich not to pursue.

It may take a couple of years but there will be multiple exposes of the taint that Goodell and his minions have foisted upon the NFL, its teams and fans.

i prefer the fixed version :D.

"The views and opinions expressed on Comcast Sports Net and on the 2-6pm M-F radio show on 98.5 are solely those of the moronic, trolling idiotic on-air talent. These views and opinions do not necessarily represent those of John Zannis, or Comcast because our company is made up of logical people and we like advertising dollars and high ratings.".

A great article, but how come nobody brings up the fact that the Colts balls were under the legal limit.

That's, like, the 300th head-scratching thing in this entire mess. The Colts footballs were under limit, but no investigation, no punishment, no public outcry. It's simply ignored

Tom Brady couldn't have been more correct in his email when he said something to the effect of "of course it's a big deal, it's the Patriots"
