well..that just confirms my suspicions that Gary Myers is not ONLY a near brain dead turd puppet whore for ANY big money NY interests but a completely brainwashed "NY is the center of the universe!" stooge.

Hmmm...Mo(rt), Gary and Curly (CHB)..the Three Stoolges

Are you F'ing kidding me. This is a HORRIBLE article. Let me paraphrase.

'There is no evidence that the Pats did anything wrong, But everybody hates the Patriots, Brady, and BB. Besides everyone knows about BB and spygate. So despite its clear that NFL has lied, misrepresented the facts, and maliciously set out to defame Brady and the Patriots, we feel that this should be settled with the league lifting Brady's 4 game suspension, and fine him a half million dollars for non-cooperation, even though the transcripts show he cooperated fully. That will end this with the Pats getting their QB back and the League getting to leave the country with the impression that the Pats were probably guilty but there just wasn't enough evidence to pin them down...and we'll get them eventually those rotten cheaters."

But on the positive side is, even one of the most slimiest Patriot Hater papers in the country, has been FORCED to start backpedaling and create a face saving article that while acknowledging SOME of the evidence, but at the same time refusing to actually tell the truth about what's happened, and still leave the Pats in a negative light.

Rhody - you clearly don't have a clear understanding what this affair is about if you think that article is a good one.

Yeah, I have no idea what the hell Rhody is reading there. No offense Rhody, you're probably a great guy, but there is now way I'd want you to be my defense attorney.

I love all these great compromises and these guys should meet in the middle ******** pieces.

I'll remember this approach next time some guys jumps me in an alley --- maybe we can compromise on the number of times he stabs me

We hear all this "tough to win", "too risky" and "better off settling, to be safe" stuff from the media these days. It's as if the Peterson, Bountygate, Hardy and Rice cases never happened, and the NFL has never lost a case.

That's because most of these people don't understand how a team prepares to play a game of football. They believe that most programs would be interchangeable and that one team doesn't have any % difference over another and that talent of the players is what makes the biggest difference.

Thus, they don't understand why people think BB is the best coach during this time period or any time period. He has everything moving in harmony and really leaves nothing unanswered or unprepared. They still assume he's the same coach from Cleveland and he didn't learn along the way of what it takes to win in the salary-cap era.

Thus, if a team is winning so much with so little talent (except at QB) then they must be doing something wrong. It's actually the opposite, they are doing something more "right" and it has to do with coaching.

Can you imagine what the Pats Bulletin Board will look like this year???.. might need a "Bulletin Wall"??

Need Rodney to stop by and remind this team that it is them against the football world...

No one should read the NY Daily News
It's a daily version of the weekly Enquirer! Check their site. Has at least three references to the Kardashians, two for Jenner, etc every day. Great pics of hotties in bikinis though!

I love how there has to be some compromise even though one party was accused, slandered, inconvenienced and proven guilty of nithing. Mods, if this religious analogy ios offensive, I'll delete...

It's as if Pontius Pilate realizes his failure to make the right decision has spun out of control, but he can't admit fault, so he compromises. You only have to nail one hand and one foot.

This makes as much sense.

Even ignoring the obviously terrible suggestion in the article, I'm not sure I want any US Judge to start getting influence for his proceedings from a newspaper.

I want full exoneration, nothing less. I would prefer Brady take 4 game suspension where he maintains his innocence over a compromise. Accepting a compromise is a defacto admission of guilt to the haters and his legacy is still tarnished. It's obvious this is a set up and the NFL has fabricated transgressions. In this situation moral victories do matter.

I read that with my coffee this morning and thought it was "wishful thinking" on the part of Myers, who is no fan of Goodell but who has to throw a little red meat to the idiot Jets fans who subscribe to his paper. There's no reason that Brady should pay that much...anything really, but he might reasonably agree to a much smaller number (a Favre-like $50,000) with complete exoneration on the underlying fraudulent charges just to make everything go away.

It really all comes down to how each side reads Judge Berman. One area in which I think Myers is definitely wrong is when he comments on the Judge: "Berman surely will warn Brady and Goodell they are much better off settling because neither side is going to like what he comes up with on his own."

Actually, it's far more likely that one side will like what he says and the other won't. If he Upholds Goodell's ruling, Brady is screwed. If he Vacates the ruling and refers the matter to an independent arbitrator, Goodell is screwed.

If he hasn't done so before, I'd be reasonably certain that the two sides will find out where Judge Berman is leaning next Wednesday. Once that's on the table, then the board will be slanted towards one side or the other. So, each side has to decide whether to go for the best deal they can before then or play a game of chicken for another week.

After reading about what he said about Dinesh Dsouza, Judge Berman is now one of my favorite people.

Dinesh D'Souza is a looney.
