It's hypnotic. Snap after snap . . . going to the same spot. . . .

He's a human JUGS machine. Jugs Cardona? Seriously, no letting Brady take those snaps for a FG hold, that's a broken finger waiting to happen.

Oh my. Ryan Allen will be so confused for the first couple of games.

REPORT: Ryan Allen is out for 4-6 weeks with a ruptured spleen. He raised his arms to catch what he assumed would be an errant snap, but the ball actually shot a 100 MPH directly into his solar plexis.

If you're snap is gonna have that kind of velocity, it had better be accurate. This guy, if he is allowed to play, is easily worth a 5th round pick.

Navy should station him in Newport War college and give him Sundays off.... :D

People so often overlook the long snapper and just how important he is.. They forget that the Pats actually had to use 3 of them during the 2003/2004 season.. Lonnie Paxton got hurt.. So did his replacement, Sean McDermott. They had to bring Brian Kinchen for the play-off run..

At the draft I was like "WAT?" but I agree that a LS who gives the punter an extra second due to a great snap and ball location is worth a 5th round pick. Allen had to correct to many snaps last season, I noticed a little drop off of his rookie season for that reason.

If these two guys get along we may field the best punt unit in the NFL.

Joe Cardona the Navy man, is the first rookie to make the 2015 team. His camp competition, the incumbant, has already been cut. Congratulations 5th rounder! I hope you will become a Probowl fixture on our STs.

BTW the typical Crazed Draftniks of the Draft pages immediately deemed the 5th round pick to be a "totally wasted pick" by Belichcick. It is so typical of those fools.

I just love draftniks. It's the methodology: I remember in 20XX, ____ was still on the board, and ____ was still on the board, and ______ was still on the board, and we drafted [washout]

Nickname? I like Snapatron. Velocisnaptor. Mechasnap. Turbosnap. Or Autosnap. The Snap Dragon.

I have no problem with Belichick using a fifth for a guy who will be a good contributor on a consistent basis. A lock Long Snapper is worth the investment.

Incorrect - Velocisnaptor is the snappiest.

Taintballgun is a little graphic.

yep, belichick is building a TEAM through the draft.

OK, if you guys want Velocisnaptor, I want due credit for coming up with it. Although, I still prefer Snapatron.

As a not-so-minor point, don't forget that Danny Baugher "won" the punting competition a few years ago . . . and then was promptly cut for Chris Hanson(!).

Plus velocisnaptor is network-friendly.

But when/if we play someone on Fox, Taintball gun it is!
