" Or is he a "schmuck" for lying?

Either way, the Patriots are paying both for their faith in Tom Brady and the yet-to-be absolved sins of Bill Belichick while the Pope of the NFL does his victory tour throughout the rest of the league.

Deflategate may be a sham, but it’s one the Patriots made possible. The only reason we’re here now is because Brady and the Patriots were too arrogant and focused on escaping the accusations instead of admitting the misdemeanor.

What a bunch of schmucks."

I have said there is "stupidity" on both sides.

Oh hush up. The league has always had a hard on for the Pats. If it wasn't Deflategate it'd be some other ******** allegation.

You are right, the Patriots are too arrogant to admit that the forces of nature reduced the pressure in their footballs and take the blame for it.

You think Brady should have lied? This all assumes that Brady did in fact order someone to intentionally deflate the balls and break the rules. You think the punishment or the publicity would have been any different if he had fallen on his sword and lied? Do you think the commish is punishing Brady because he made the NFL brass have to really work hard to find any excuse to nail him rather than TB doing it for them. Sheesh.

You're such a bad poster.

Read a science book once in a while.

Its like Felger's position. "The Patriots just should have come clean right after Kravitz broke the story. Brady should have said that he likes the balls a certain way, the clubhouse guys went rogue and Kraft should have thrown the two clubhouse guys under the bus.".

On the surface it makes sense, what was to prevent Jaz and Mcnally from going on 60 minutes? Maybe they get paid off for confidentiality (like our good buddy Matt Walsh) but that just makes things look worse.

Containment and not saying anything - if you don't have all the facts is the best course of action.

If you believe your OP, then you are monumentally naive.

Spygate gave all NFL fans proof of a rule infraction. Fans of the other 31 teams had a basis to believe the Pats somehow cheated to win. There is no Pats PR campaign, in any form, other than proving a negative (which you cannot do because you do not have the universe worth of information to do it) to conclusively disprove that opinion. Other logic and declarations by the Pats and their fans, as the hated team, mean nothing to the critics and never will.

Given the past illogical reputation, and the fact about 97% of the NFL fan base hate the Pats, you believe the falsely accused should bleat and throw random facts at the angry mob? Isolated facts can easily be discredited. This is a legal issue, so running in willy-nilly like the village idiot and commenting publically (ie., statements as evidence) is a sure way to get your case picked apart in advance before the real fight begins. And no, the public and media do not start fighting with the Pats by rallying to their righteous indignation. They will believe nothing, true or otherwise. Best case, as it was before, is the Pats and Brady are cheaters in the eyes of many NFL fans and the sanctions go away.

what a pants load

Trolls are coming out of the woodwork this week. What a surprise.

the point I'd like to make in all this is that if integrity of the game is truly what matters, all complaints must be addressed promptly after they are made.

If the league cannot be upfront and transparent in it's addressing the problem, then they have no right to expect the same.

Brady and the Patriots still haven't admitted the "misdemeanor". That may, perhaps, be because they didn't commit one. Since you don't know the truth, calling the team and Brady schmucks is premature at best, and idiotic at worse.

And it's certainly "stupidity" to be calling them names based upon the current evidence.

Stop with the trolling. Its getting old

I am not a troll! I posted an article and quoted parts of it that said they were smucks, I didn't say that. I only said that the was enough stupidity to go around on both sides of this issue.

IF saying that pats were wrong to put their faith in Tom Brady and that the Pats and Brady were too arrogant to admit to something that science proved diddnt happen isnt trolling than I guess you have no idea what trolling is.

Or you are just an idiot. So it could be that.

Good lord people, he posted an article from Boston.Com. That's all it is is some writers take. Actually the writer might not even feel that way. He might just be trying to put out a different spin.
