Sounds like he's good.

Brady all set for war now.

EDIT:

He represented Belichick!

Belichick v. NFL, et al. — Represented NFL Head Coach in litigation over changing teams.

I'm going to admit that I only know who Kessler is because MoLewisRocks absolutely hated the guy. Apparently his MO is going after pro sports leagues' anti-trust exemptions. Sounds good to me, that's a huge threat to the NFL. Any owner that was sitting on the sidelines before isn't going to be able to stay there for long. If Brady's been pushed so far that he's willing to attack the anti-trust exemption, ultimately the owners are going to have to hold Goodell accountable for that.

All along, Goodell's been protected by the fact that he makes the owners money. Well, his actions are now threatening the owners' investments in a really, really, really big way.

The dumb-down...Time to end it!
I'm getting tired of hearing about "preponderance of evidence", the "more likely than not" BS, that the NFL and many sports writers claim is the "same standard used in civil cases". Sorry, but it is not the same as the evidence in a civil trial as that evidence is still subjected to cross-examination. Those nagging questions about 16 PSI and gauge recollections would be addressed, explained, challenged, whatever...

Btw, I hated Kessler during the CBA negotiations, but nearly as much as Goodell did.

If this is a lesser evil situation between Kessler and Goodell, Kessler is the lesser evil by a factor of at least 100.

Preponderance of evidence is the standard in civil cases... but you have to actually have a preponderance of evidence. One side loudly exclaiming that something probably happened does not = an actual preponderance of evidence.

Sorry for being a bit crude with this but someone yesterday on here said what Goodell did to Kraft was like Pearl Harbor.

Well, Tom just prepared 'Little Boy' for use now we wait to see if Kraft has 'Fat Man'.

I hope it does get ugly for the NFL. I hope Brady scorches every bit of earth he needs.

Mr. Kessler is also one of the most prominent lawyers in the country regularly engaged in high-profile sports litigation. He has litigated some of the most famous sports-antitrust cases in history, including McNeil v. the NFL, the landmark antitrust jury trial which led to the establishment of free agency in the National Football League (NFL), and Brady v. NFL, which led to the end of the 2011 NFL lockout.

Impressive Profile
He's the Dark Knight of lawyers.

Nice move Tommy.

The weird thing is Ted Wells and his law firm are top notch too. No clue why they put out such a shoddy report. Regardless, Kessler is excellent and a not surprisingly good choice. He won in Federal Court for Adrian Peterson and may have to do the same here.

I wonder what action Kessler will take if the NFL selects former NFL office worker
Henderson as their neutral arbiter.

I am thrilled at Brady's swift response to these ridiculous charges and punishments. The NFL will not be the same after this and I can hardly wait to see it all go down !!

LMAO. Someone posted Jackie Chiles earlier. Its a Seinfeld afternoon
Coming to Hulu now apparently. Might need to go back to those turds now. Or at least get a couple of free trials.

A doubly, triply or maybe even quadruply awesome thing about this is that Kessler represents the NFLPA, so this puts Troy Vincent and DeMaurice Smith in one hell of a position. This could expose not one, not two, but all three NFL clowns (Goodell, Vincent and Smith) for the cons that they are.

I very much hope that the letter Kessler, Yee and Brady send to the NFL and NFLPA gets circulated around the internet in the same shameless way the NFLPA allowed the letter they sent to Brady to be posted on every tabloid on the street.

When you have nothing to work with its hard to do good work.

Wells knows better. He wrote his report as a charging document, rather than as an investigation. To say he didn't cover himself in glory on this would be a gross understatement.
