I still can't believe the amount of victimization of the Patriots in here. Well...actually I suppose I can since its PatsFans.com

But come on guys - you guys cheated and got caught. Everyone who wasn't a Patriots fan saw this punishment coming, unfortunately you guys have been spending too much time saying that the NFL is out to get you (not sure where that's coming from, your owner and the commish were best friends before this incident) rather than realizing that your team broke the rules and got caught red handed.

i clicked "dislike" not only because I dislike your post but I disike you.

Or ordinary evidence, at least. No evidence is where you definitely have to draw the line.

Come on....they had evidence. Two guys who worked with Tom texted about deflating balls. So obviously that means that Tom told them to deflate the balls under 12.5PSI. How can u see it any other way, right?

Now they kinda also texted that Tom was right and the ball was inflated too much and it should have been inflated to 13.0 PSI. But that's not important.....the important thing is that we can use the other texts and make assumptions and then come to the conclusion we wanted all along.

Oh and I forgot about the other evidence too.......Tom didn't cooperate with the investigation. Ok, well he met with them for a full day but he didn't give them all his personal texts. I mean......how could anyone not want their boss to have access to all their personal text messages.....geez.

But the best thing about all this evidence is that we don't have to actually "prove" anything. We can just put it all out there and claim that it meets a lower standard......"probably, more then likely, I guess, in some way, if not at all" Tom Brady had a "general idea or not at all" that footballs were being deflated below 12.5 PSI.

See how easy it is to come to a conclusion when you knew what the conclusion "should be" all along?

All you need to do is find the right "evidence"

The NFL should be having the Colts and league game ops turning over their phones on this, no question.

@GregABedard how about the media leaks preceding the super bowl? No one is addressing that. Who stands to gain by spreading misinformation?

how can you lose draft picks with absolutely no evidence of wrong doing? Science accounts for the loss PSI..so where is the evidence?

To play devils advocate, the texts between equipment managers calling one of the "The Deflator", saying "Tom is acting crazy about the balls", "make that next ball a ****ing balloon", the equipment manager going into the bathroom with the balls for 2 minutes, "I talked to Tom last night and he said you must have a lot of stress to get the balls done". Tom not giving up his cell phone despite receiving iron clad, legally binding confirmation his personal stuff will never see the light of day and it would clear his name if he complied and there was no evidence.

The fallout from this is ****ed but you can't exactly say there's no evidence...

Every time I see this "word" I shake my head. Almost as bad as when "inflammable" is used by people to mean "flame ******ant".
Wells report...so it was you who started the fire !

The dates on the texts undermine them as "evidence".

Best way to stick to the NFL is to go 4-0.

Jimmy G! The biggest month of your life is coming up... no pressure!

RIP Al Davis. He'd have this over-promoted senator's son in court by Memorial Day. "The autumn wind is a Patriot."

Not in the eyes of Wells and the NFL. I definitely don't agree with the punishment, beyond ****ing steep for the circumstances but I don't think we can claim there was no evidence either. It's a damn ball man, the Chargers got popped for stickum and got a 25k fine. This was an all out witch hunt from that spineless puppet Goodell.

Except those quotes were specifically reference Brady being crazy about 16psi balls.

Wells understood that they undermined his case. He just ignored them. As for the NFL, it never mattered. This was never about PSI. This was never about tampering with footballs. This was always about getting the Patriots.

That won't be the case once this gets out of the Goodell system and into the legal system.

Agreed on all accounts. Like I said I was playing devils advocate to show the angle they were using to indict us
