...and McNally's departure with them before the AFCCG was a shocking "once in 19 years" thing, then how did they allegedly do it so often that it was common knowledge throughout the league? They would have to have done it on the field in front of 60,000+ people and many cameras. That should be easy to document if true. If not, then the basic premise of the NFL in launching this supposed investigation was flawed from the outset.
 
And the holes keep growing and growing!
 
That struck me from the beginning. How did the Bird deflate balls if this was the first time he got to haul all of the balls to the field himself? How did he deflate the ball before road games where he was not present?
 
Just a thought... if the balls were missing, maybe the guy who... ya know... was FIRED FOR STEALING FOOTBALLS might have had something to do with it?
 
It's another point in the reasonable doubt column.

This has never happened before.

And the sting just happened to catch the Patriots the first time it happened?

Or maybe.. it just never happened, period.
