Gresh out in Sports Hub shakeup

I want Felger to have his own show....Mazz brings nothing to the table, all he does is agree with Felger. Felger is the best. His sports knowledge is mediocre at best, but his delivery is just hilarious. That's what radio is all about.

I love it when he picked on Kyle Arrington a year or so ago......."Mazz....Kyle Arrington couldn't come up with an interception because he got tripped up by air. Tripped up by air Mazz!! Tripped up by freakin air.......that rat. And those rats that are the Patriots gave him a 4year contract! "

Gresh is boring as hell. Every time I listen to him, he's too careful in criticizing any of the boston sports teams.
I want Felger to have his own show, too - somewhere in Mongolia...

"We" have not made Felger and Mazz the #1 sports show, some have, I cannot stand this contrarian.

Sports talk is generally becoming less and less about sports, and more about the personalities and their popularity... how many twitter followers?? how many facebook likes??

I used to listen religiously, now much less so as I find most of them insufferable and enamored with themselves instead of the sport...

Yes, "we" have. And the result is that the two co-hosts get a shiny new 5 year deal, apparently. "We" get what"we" demand and deserve.

 Dude, where are you getting this idea? Can you give an example -- a link or video clip? I've never heard or seen the guy being self-referential or anything but humble and articulately insightful.
Tune I get this idea from listening/watching him. Chatham comes across as a humorless guy who thinks he's the smartest guy in the room. Greg Bedard also comes across that way and I don't care for him either.

And "we" are as pretentious as always, aren't "we"?

I post, and then the ankle biting stalker shows up as an ignored member posting. Must be a coincidence.

I think Felger has two major beefs.
1 -Their spending and his belief that the Kraft's are in it to win enough, not win it all. I completely disagree with him, but I understand where he comes up with this stance. What do we care if they save money? Well, we care if it means they can sign more quality players. Ok, fine, but do they? If they have say $8million in space at the end of the year, so what? So they get some credit on next year's cap, so they can save money again? Next year is important, but how about worrying more about THIS year? That's how I interpret his stance. Again, I don't see it the same way, but it's not like his arguments completely lack merit.

Felger shows his ignorance every time he starts down the Patriots spending path. He does not do that with the Bruins. Felger has this weird concept that the NFL cap is artificial on some level while the NHL cap is not. Felger gets it right when he starts talking about the Bruins' decisions to overcommit to certain players which put them in a jam when it comes to others who they can no longer afford.

He's wrong with regard to the Patriots and fails to understand the importance of keeping funds in reserve to pick up players during the season to fill in for guys who go on IR or who just cannot do the job. He's also one to applaud players like Branch, Casillas or Ayers as players that come in and contribute. He also misses the point of having money on hand to pay players who reach incentives. It's not that complicated.

Douche and Squeaky should work in DC where the owner spends money on big name broken down free agents, generates headlines and then goes 5-11.

Yeah, that's total nonsense.

I have dinged your posts with a Dislike or a Disagree a total of 5-6 times.

And yet I get these here's my pet-psychopath or ankle-biting stalker insults from you every single time I do.

Seems to me that given your extreme thin-skinned reaction to them, that if I really was a stalker or a psychopath I'd have managed to ding more than a handful of your posts in the years since I've had the displeasure of knowing you.

Every time you come out from behind your Ignore shield to insult me and others with posts like these, all you're doing is showing everyone just how hypocritical and thin-skinned you are.

He is still on air, so ..........

Breaking up their only decent show. Will this finally be enough for people to turn away from that station?

"Andy Gresh will continue to work with The Sports Hub in a variety of roles."

Wonder what that means. I liked Gresh & Zo. I thought they complimented each other and it almost always came across as pretty good sports radio without an agenda like so many of the other morons that are for the most part impossible to listen to for any amount of time. Dale & Holly the only other exception to that damning.

Bertrand's not bad. I'm intrigued by the pairing and will obviously be giving it a shot. I don't think WEEI is any better.

Also Tanguay out as 98.5 Pats post game. Beetle taking over which is nice to hear. Reading the above post, I wonder if Gresh is still doing post game?

I thought they worked well as a duo, this is strange, must be more to it..

I have been unable to listen to Felger and Mazz for several months now. I like Gresh but Zo was wearing on me with his emphasis on stupid music and other non sports topics.
I have been listening to more MFB in that time slot. I'm not crazy about Dale Arnold but like Holley. Boston sports talk has gone down hill the past year.

Betrand is actually pretty good on the weekends. I hated Gresh when he first took over the mid day role and he grew on me as he became more polished. I like Betrand far more now than I liked Gresh when he first started. I don't think this will be as much of a loss as people think.

Well, you can always listen to Christian Fauria and two non-descript bozos who host the midday slot at WEEI. Even losing Gresh, the 98.5 midday show it 1000x better than the WEEI midday show. In fact, listening to static is better than listening to the WEEI midday show. It is easily the worst team on either station.

The only thing worth listening to on WEEI is Dale and Holley. The rest of the day, that station absolutely sucks.

Bingo. Good god, WEEI sucks outside of the afternoon show. I do like Michael Holley and that's really about it.
