Anyone else hear that absolute crap? Someone please call an ambulance because I'm having an aneurysm after listening to that. Now, I know this thread may seem redundant as we all know how bad Felger and Mazz have treated this whole issue. But I was morbidly curious about what Chris Russo had to say on the local station.

Clearly this man has never even taken a freshman course on logical fallacies. He didn't merely doubt the Patriots story. He "knew" that they were lying. He "knows" that they are cheating. And not only that, he outright criticized Kraft for not taking questions from the media when he spoke the other day. Why? So people could rightly ask him "Forget about Belichick and Brady for a second, who deflated the footballs? Who deflated the footballs? It's your job as an owner to know this stuff so find out who deflated the footballs." Begging the question doesn't even being to describe what he did. And the best part is he didn't even try and say the science is wrong. He didn't, for one single moment, even mention the science. Or the weather. Or anything. To him and the whole world the balls were deflated. He cities the Daily News piece of 40 seconds to deflate the balls in a bathroom, and even Felger corrected him and said that the 'study' ignored the additional 37 seconds for the boy to enter and leave the room, leaving a mere 13 seconds for any margin of error. And then for the great finale he uses the flawed fumble statistics that were completely discredited on Deadspin.

And of course he cherry picks Aikman and Jerry Rice for doubting the Patriots, claiming that through them "every ex-player knows the balls were deflated." I guess Dan Marino and Matt Leinart don't count? And Tony Romo? And yes, we can use Matt Leinart to support our case if they use Mark freaking Brunell for theirs.

This is the kind of crap us Pats fans have to deal with here. It's just soul crushing who morons like Chris Russo have zapped all the fun out of the last week and a half.

Probably safer to turn the dial and avoid the frustration. Most people already have their minds made up at this point. Seriously, the league could ultimately issue an apology and the people that already think they are guilty would not bat an eye at continuing to call the Pats cheaters.

Embrace the hate.

Perfect response. Don't let them under your skin - change the station and don't go back to F&M. When they're no longer getting ratings, the $ people at the radio station will make a change.

Also, this whole thing is such a manufactured controversy that it really behooves most individuals to just go ahead and realize that there are about a billion more important things to worry about on a daily basis in anyone's life. Don't let a bunch of hacks who're just spinning headlines dictate how you feel about something as awesome as the Patriots playing this Sunday.

As I said in another thread, the one way of "correcting" F+M is for Kraft to threaten to move Pats broadcast rights to another station when the contract expires

I wonder what Mr. New York Russo thinks of the President of his beloved Knicks?
