Why doesn't Don Banks care about the integrity of the game? Why doesn't Don Banks care about the children? Maybe he needs to look into the camera and apologize for not getting with the program.

It is interesting. Early in the story it was nothing but negativity and condemnation. Horrible horrible stuff. But days later and nothing new. Cooler heads are speaking up a bit more which is refreshing.

Thanks for posting that, RhodyPatriot. It's nice to see an article not portraying this as a crime against humanity.

Of course, I looked at the comment. Hooo Boy. There's some person on there who has made over 50 comments on the article over the last 6 hours, most of them calling for a Congressional investigation. That's someone who needs some perspective.

I love how he calls out Peter King, his colleague which isn't easy but he's right on.

Sorry, but basically condemning BB based on zero evidence and concluding he's a dirty rule breaker but Donny baby is above the ruffians and will be satisfied with a small punishment and public lashing doesn't exactly win me over.

His position is that witches may be dangerous, and should be beaten, but let's not burn them!

**** Don Banks, he's willing to hang people out to dry for nothing. His ********, I'm going take the middle ground but keep hunting witches act doesn't impress me. He's not some sort of arbiter of common sense, he just wants to sound cool now that people are getting tired of hearing about it, but not abandon his base by calling the whole thing a straight up ******** witch hunt.

In fact, this I'm above it all, let's just punish them a little act pisses me off more than the rabid asshats who at least tell you what they think to your face.

This garbage has been getting blown so out of proportion that I was shocked today when I was watching the news here in Brazil (where football, although it's grown a lot over the past few years, is still far from being popular) and they had a report about how "Gisele Bundchen's husband's team" was being accused of cheating by manipulating the footballs. It's just unbelievable that something like this has been getting this much attention over here as well. It's just been annoying the hell out of me, but in a way it just makes me root even more for this team.

OT a little but I think he's right on the money about how some things in the NFL today are deflating. What IS a "football move"? Funny how we never heard stuff like that years ago. A catch was a catch, a fumble was a fumble, a TD was a TD, pass interference was pass interference and so on. Football was football.

I think it's deflating that defense is a pariah in today's league. Pats fans were a little upset to see Peyton Manning break Bradys TD pass record...but I just shrugged. These kinds of records mean nothing to me anymore and they should all have asterisks.

Much easier to put up big numbers when you're not allowed to play defense like you could before. It's like the NFL is not football anymore, it's a performance art for offenses.

That's always the patter with these things, for the most part. Whatever. The NFL found nothing and WE ARE ALL on to Glendale.
