He said he took it to the sidelines, hasn't seen it since and probably never will.

"I'll do my best to try to get ahold of it," Jackson said. "But right now it's in the middle of, what do they call it, 'Deflategate.'"

The normal procedure when a player wants to save the ball, he said, is for it to go to the equipment staff "and you have it in your locker come Monday morning."

"I don't know how it got to this point," Jackson said, "but somehow I'm in the middle of it."

Jackson said he doesn't handle the ball enough to know whether it was properly inflated or not.

"The deal about me saying that I noticed anything about it, that's totally false," he said.

It's very clear at this point that inspection equals = hold 12 balls, grip them, squeeze them, nod and say good to go

I hope you're right but I have seen reports contrary to that.

But Ron Borges ridiculed Tom Brady about how D'Qwell Jackson could tell the ball was deflated and Brady couldn't. And Borges is never wrong. He only steals from the most detailed oriented writers.

On a side note, isn't it kinda ironic that Borges would be so snarky in grueling someone about a cheating scandal?
Ron "Copy-n-Paste" Borges? Oh c'mon....you can trust him.

Best case scenario for the fans and obviously the organization is for the NFL to completely debunk Mortenson's report. I think that's the last thing haters are holding onto right now.

This is getting really odd.

I'm so confused about this. Didn't he give the ball to the equipment manager and that's how it was started?

Not necessarily.

But the organization was ready and loaded for this. Many tried to sell the story that it was D'Qwell who brought it to their attention.

He just publicly called that ********! This is now a proven setup.

Ron Borges puts the TWIT in twitter.

And yes, this matters. The implication of Kravitz's piece was that Jackson just happened to realize that the ball was under inflated, which puts the bullseye on every Pats' receiver, too. Think about it - the implication is that it was recognizably (to the touch) off, which is a big part of the venom being spewed about brady obviously "lying."

This matters. A lot.

Per Tom E Curren the NFL is not commenting on details of the review right now.
Why is the NFL not commenting? It's been 4 days. What are they STILL reviewing?

I smell a rat. I have been suspicious about this for a couple of days.

NFL has been caught in a sham. They are trying to figure out how to get away from this with very little blow back.

NFL is a wounded animal. Kraft needs to go in for the kill.

Yup - - Borges just got 3 tons of egg on his face with this revelation!!!!!!!

Does anyone have a clip of his question we could replay in a loop?

Ultimately doesn't help us much. So what. The NFL still says the balls checked out then didn't. One of the reporters screwed up - no surprise there. Who reported Jackson did notice? We can cross them off the list of mediots to take seriously, should such a list exist at this point.

If you checked the balls in the Divisional Game at half-time I guarantee that both teams footballs would have been considered under-inflated. Since when did the league institute a requirement that the pressure in the footballs not change during the course of the game (barring tampering)? It is physically impossible for that to be the case unless the outdoor temperature is the same as the temperature of the air used to fill the balls.

I genuinely believe the NFL & Goodell do not want a trainwreck of a Super Bowl.

I think Goodys lackeys want to pull BB through shards of glass .

I believe that the investigative arm of the NFL office is partially incompetent and paralyzed because they need to understand the PR ramifications before they even breathe.

I have seen no report saying or even strongly inferring refs measured PSI pre-game. I think the fact that BB & TB both hammered home balls were at 12.5 pre-game indicates there is almost a 0% chance that the refs measured those balls (assuming it's in presence of Pats ball boy, which according to the ball boy article the other day is the procedure).

yes. presumably the equipment guy noticed something fishy and told their GM ryan grigson

You can't be serious about Kraft going in for the kill
When has Mr Go Along ever done anything even remotely like that?
He's too busy cozying up with the Ravens team & Goodell over the Ray Rice case brilliant handling
