Why would you not count Connolly's kick return? Of course he is the all time KR leader.

Actually, he has the longest return ever by an OL, so there is that. :)

Let's not forget that BB became tied with Tom Landry for the All-Time leader in play-off wins with 20.

It's listed on the box score. I think the YPA has to be over 10 or something to get a perfect rating. There's usually a threshold of a certain amount of passes to be listed as a postseason record, and one isn't enough. Kind of like Connolly may be the all time KR leader if you count his one attempt.

For the record, it's actually 12.5 YPA (I had to look it up, I admit). To qualify for game records, a QB generally must attempt 10 or more passes.

I thought that maybe Edelman might be the only player in the history of the NFL to score a touchdown in every way possible, but after checking I see that he is missing a rushing touchdown. Soon... :)

I'm still going to guess that he's the only non-quarterback player with a touchdown in 4 or 5 of those possible ways.

Hijacking my own thread:

http://www.nfl.com/superbowl/records/superbowls/player/receiving is the NFL.com page for individual Super Bowl receiving records. 4 Patriots are on it, one of them in (a tie for) first place in his category. Before you check, try to guess who they are, and what their records are. :)

http://www.nfl.com/superbowl/records/playoffs/player/receiving is the analogous page for postseason (as opposed to just Super Bowl) records. Again, 4 Patriots are on it, although 1 of the 4 is there mainly for what he did on another team. Again, I encourage you to guess who and for what.

And as a bonus, 2 Patriots are tied for the lead in another, obscure Super Bowl individual receiving record. What is it, and who are they? :)

I'll summarize the answers in a spoiler:

  • Branch and Welker are tied for most receptions in a Super Bowl with 11, which also puts them high in the rankings for most receptions in a post-season game.
  • Givens had 7 straight post-season games with a TD. Only Rice is ahead of him, with 8.
  • With 2 each, Givens and Vrabel are on the list for most career Super Bowl TDs. They also share in the record for most consecutive calendar years with a Super Bowl TD reception. :)
  • Moss had 10 post-season TDs, almost all with Minnesota.
  • I didn't put this in the trivia questions, but Branch also had a 10-reception Super Bowl, as did Rice. So there's also a record there for most receptions in 2 Super Bowls combined.

David Patten threw, caught, and rushed for a touchdown for the Pats all in the same game. I also just looked it up, and he has one career KR TD.

Gale Sayers had all 5 -- http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/S/SayeGa00.htm
So did Dave Meggett -- http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/M/MeggDa00.htm

And by the way -- you left out interception and fumble returns.

I don't think Edelman has a KR TD -- http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/E/EdelJu00.htm But he does seem to have a fumble recovery TD (perhaps on STs? I forget.)

He needs to run back an interception as a DB.
