It's easy, and only takes a few moments.Pass rush was non-existant and the Pats didn't stop the Packers on their side of the field nearly enough to win. When you add in that and the OL struggles, you have two big components needed for a loss.
A few thoughts on the game.
All of that and the game was still there to be won. That's the one encouraging thing. Green Bay cannot play a better game than that and they just squeaked by the Pats. They're a good team but very beatable.
- The officials screwed the Patriots by consistently ignoring Packer WR push-offs and OPIs all game.
- Corners 3-5 were ****house. Rodgers embarrassed them.
- McCourty and Chung were ****.
- No pass rush.
- I didn't see any Defensive Linemen put their hands up at the LOS to try and bat the ball down.
- Ninkovich consistently over pursued and lost edge contain. Lacy picked up some big plays.
- Patriots OL was meh.
- Patriots use of the run game was meh.
- Brady was meh outside of his moments of brilliance.
- The Patriots lost the game on two critical players, one at the end of the first half and on Solder's whiff leading to the 3rd down sack.
- Tough game against a tough team at home. A lost opportunity.
- Red Zone D was brilliant.
Even 80% of 32.5 is 26 points.
This game shows that this pats team has no business to win a payoff game on the road. If they cannot secure HFA, no way they get to the SB.
You're welcome. My first thought is that I'd have liked to reply to some posts late in the in-game thread.
Second thought is, I should thank the heavy handed moderators for reminding me that this board may not be the best use of my time.
C ya later.
I kind of agree. These elite QBs are way too good to let them sit back there forever.Lack of Pass rush might be the death of us like it's been the last several years
This loss is on Garoppollo. He should of done a better job imitating Rodgers in practice this week.
A) Ghost missed a FG that would've made it 24.
B) I looked it up and it's actually 75% the # of possessions, Pats average 11 non-kneeldown drives per game, had 8 today.
C) To make it simpler, I have repeatedly put the points per drive stat. Going into today, Patriots average 2.7 points per drive. They had 2.63 today, an awfully similar number, wouldn't you say? And that number is 3 if Ghost doesn't whiff. So, they would've been more productive.
