Edelman on the PS and Mankins cut. Its been a banner day on the forum lol

That's nothing...yesterday I responded to a poster who was complaining about the "trading" of Wes Welker.

Yeah looks like gym rat struck out on this one.

I've been on the Jerry Rice training program myself all summer, too.

It consisted of pounding beer, smoking cigarettes, and looking at internet porn.

You should see my first step off the line of scrimmage though--It's crazy explosive!

Speaking of Craig, where is he?

On an emotional level it hurts to see KT being the odd man out but it makes sense. He doesn't contribute on ST, he is not a young player and didn't show much since the Saints game last year.

Based on their individual trajectory over the first 4 games I'd rather have LaFell than KT. I hope he catches on somewhere else and can make some good money.

That's cool. We've only had the undisputed GOAT all this time. I understand rebuilding, but the misses on the defensive side of the ball through the draft are just as responsible for the lack of another (and I'm just looking for one) trophy in almost 10 years. Please alert me when that much anticipated AFC runner up trophy is forged. I'm sure Jets fans will **** themselves with delight.

I'm a huge Brady fan, yet to state as an absolute he is the greatest of all time is indisputably wrong.
An argument can be made he is the best of all time, it is undisputed he is among the best QBs of all time.

To your main contention: Consider other teams with 'one of the best QBs of all time' also were not successful winning SB after SB after SB after SB from A to Z. Winning the SB is a much much bigger task than 'we have a great QB'.
You can be pissed off at the state of the week 4, 2014 Patriots and lament the mistakes that were made to cause it. It does suck seeing them struggle mightily 3 out of the first four weeks and it's fair game to look at the why(s). However, starkly impugning this the team for it's lack of SB success is unfair given how much closer they have been to success than most (twice within a fingernail of SB victories, multiple conference championships, etc). Making a certain SB winner, one that doesn't need a few bounces, in the modern NFL just isn't likely (definitely not the same team over a span of seasons).

Probably lining up some potential suitors for Thompkins' talents, since many of us assume that he's actually his agent posting on our forum.

In all seriousness though, I'm just busting Craig's chops. If I had a dollar for every time I've been wrong about a feeling or prediction here, I'd be very rich.

This is a random post.

After the absolute mess in CFB today, and my Absolute hate for CFB football kickers.

Having Ghost as our kicker is pretty awesome. Just my thoughts Just what I am feeling at this time..

This is, likely, more about a numbers thing and not a declaration that KT failed. The Patriots needed personnel elsewhere, someone had to go and the WR spot has greater flexibility than most other positions.

It's too bad KT had to feel the sting of the business of the NFL. He was an unheralded player that, by all accounts, diligently applied himself to his craft in order to improve. However, if he is not claimed by another team, given the nature of the Patriots roster shuffling not to mention the nature of the NFL (injuries), I'd be surprised if he is not back with the team.

We are heavy at WR and DB, so it seems to be more of a numbers game than anything else.. if he not picked up, and there is an injury he might be back...

KT wasn't a world beater but he was good for about 3 catches a game. Which is triple the production of Amendola.

i have to admit i am surprised...

strange move...

I can tell just based on the way you're typing. Lost about 5 pounds of fat but sacrificed little to no finger speed.

This one hurts me, too. Please come back.

Question : is this a football decision ? I know KT isn't the new Megatron, but I had no idea he was so close to the bubble.

I really want to say this is a bad move but I'd be lying.

Truth is he's an inconsistent, average WR that in my eyes got beat for his job by Lafell. I'm not shocked by this, because I never really rated KT anyways.../

Just a numbers game. He was the last WR on the depth chart...

Ok. Just wondering if anyone thought "something would come out today" re KT that would make the release "off the field" considerations.

Was it necessary for the last WR on the team to be cut rather than the last DB for instance ?

So wet aren't going to play Browner? If dennard is out/limited and we are playing the same sorry @$$ off zone we have all hated for years (and ridiculed tb for using Revis in last year...), my wife may just throw me out for launching the bourbon through the flat screen...

In that he wasn't activated by 4pm yesterday, no. Neither is Tyms.

Have to admit I wasn't expecting this.

Browner tyms and kt would not have affected the outcome as much as the team showing up to play.

At worst we will be 2-3, but I think the pats are going to win and it is going to be a blast rereading the Trent dilfers of the world and hearing about Marv Lewis not winning a playoff game

Shalise Manza-Young reports he mouthed-off to McDaniels...
