Tomorrow's NY Post celebrates Brady Injury

Re: Tomorrows NY Post celebrates Brady Injury

Wow are you people paranoid...

Don't you know that out of the 975 or so media outlets that last night were saying that Brady was done, it's a total coincidence that the NYP cited Yahoo! as their source in their headline?

In all seriousness, good lord, how wildly sweet it would be if we go down there next week and beat them in their frigging home opener.

I'm sure a copy of the front page will be posted on the locker room wall....something to muse about in the coming week....

Re: Tomorrows NY Post celebrates Brady Injury

I have no idea why Jets are so overjoyed. Can they guarantee their old quarterback won't be injured too? They sound like they have claimed the division already.

Re: Tomorrows NY Post celebrates Brady Injury

Wow! The NY Post must have forgotten about Rodney. People started making fun of him for using the "we get not respect" angle for motivation. If the Post truly prints this, you can believe that Harrison will have the entire team screaming for vengeance all year.

Re: Tomorrows NY Post celebrates Brady Injury

If the headline is true, can someone paste and post it on a new thread.

Re: Tomorrows NY Post celebrates Brady Injury

I would like to see an image also, if anyone has one.

I still feel very confident that we will beat the Jets this weekend. What Farve did against the Dolphins will not work against our defense. Next weekend there will not be a receiver so wide open due to a blown coverage like Cotchery. If Farve throws another one of those 'prayers' like their second TD it will most likely get picked. I know vegas has the Jets as a favorite but I still think we have a solid chance of beating them

I hope you are right. The fact that the Patriots defense blew a huge coverage at a critical point in yesterday's game may be an actual positive going into the Jets game. The coaches will correct it and hopefully the dbs will not be so out of position again. As we have seen, Favre still likes to do Favre things (that second TD in the Miami game was pure luck.) Having a disciplined defense will go long way to taking advantage of situations like that.

Re: Tomorrows NY Post celebrates Brady Injury

Mangini will be chewing his fingers right off watching Favre whipping balls into the secondary.

And is it just me that realized last night Deltha is faster and more intense than I thought? After keeping an eye on Cinci the last couple of years, I never expected to see him make so many good plays (and that chase down was just awesome). Anyway, nother thread I guess, once the storm settles a little... like next September, hehe.

Re: Tomorrows NY Post celebrates Brady Injury

So you all think that Cassell will play well in his first road game in enemy territory? Personally, I think he's going to soil himself. It's up to the defensive front to keep the game close and possibly win. It's up to the o-line to run-block their arses off. It's up to the o-line to hold on tight when the Jets put eight in the box and expose their db's to one on one coverage with Moss. That is what I hope happens. I also hope I win a 10 day trip to Hawaii.

Re: Tomorrows NY Post celebrates Brady Injury

Yeah, i saw the sports headlines that the OP was talking about. Don't support any Rupert Murdoch/Newscorp owned publications/networks (yes, this includes Faux News), they're bringing down journalism.

Re: Tomorrows NY Post celebrates Brady Injury

The paper is not "cheering" Brady's injury. It is quoting Yahoo! as a source. They put a colon after Yahoo! to indicate that Yahoo! is claiming Brady is done for the year.

Of course, if Patriot players don't know what a colon is (in grammar as opposed to bodily functions) or its usage in the English language, then yes, it will be terrific locker room fodder.

Here is a picture of the back page:

I personally don't think they're celebrating. Although it just happened to work out that they could be 'clever' by using Yahoo! as the source while also knowing they will face a less potent team in week 2.

Re: Tomorrows NY Post celebrates Brady Injury

Anyone see NFL Network tonight? It showed Mondays edition of the New York post in which on the front or back (I couldn't tell) says in big letters.

"BRING ON THE PATS" "YAHOO! Brady out for the season"

It's an obvious cheap shot and there is no other way to spin it. Damn I hope Mike Reiss or a local media outlet picks this story up.

Let 'em say it. Instant karma's gonna get you. Gonna hit you right in the face.

Oh, BS. You're touting their argument that they're not cheering Brady's injury. Newsflash: they are. See, the use of a colon doesn't change anything.

Re: Tomorrows NY Post celebrates Brady Injury

See I wasn't alone on my thought. Mike Reiss himself saw what I saw with the post.

"Raise your hand if you thought the New York tabloids would be classy about this. The New York Post seems to imply a double meaning with their Yahoo!-referencing Brady-is-hurt headline, while the Daily News plays it straighter with the Jets-as-division-favorites angle.

Guess we'll know for sure Sunday."

Re: Tomorrows NY Post celebrates Brady Injury

NYorkers are f***cking arshooles. How can they celebrate AFTER people get hurt?

Funny thing about that.....I work in NYC unfortunatly and I was talking to one of my co-workers concerning Bradys injury....they are all happy to see him go down....so I asked him how about Eli going down with the same type of injury...he replies with get rid of the bum...drop him from the team and move on...we are better off without him....

Amazing...

Beyond my imagination. When did we become that way? They are cold blooded bastards. Nobody gives a shtt about other human beings any more. It's a f***cked up society. Honestly, i will not hesitate to gun these f***ckers down when I have an opportunity.

I hope AD separates Favre's shoulder on the first play from scrimmage. I'm a terrible person, I don't care. I want to see these NY'er shut up. I don't <3 NY. A bunch of scum bags.

Don't stoop to their level...I NEVER wish for injury for any team.

I want to beat their best with the best we have.

Now, if the Patriots want to shut up those Jest fans....just go to N. Jersey and beat them, fair and square when they are at their best.

What would they ever say then??
