Yes we need to get rid of Welker. I love the guy but we have too many of the same type of players on the team. Edelman, Woodhead and even Vereen can fill his type of role on short passing plays to create YAC. Aside from Gronk, we lack any imposing offensive player that can create seperation...
You guys are worrying about players like as if they were your personal friends. They are athletes who get paid MILLIONS of dollars to play a game they LOVE. How many of us can say that? And no i don't condone any player getting injured.
How has it been hard? the Patriots are much better in the...
I don't get why everyone is so against expansion. I for one am totally for it. Stop acting like you guys have any sort of personal relationship with any of these NFL players. They are not your kids, they are not your family, they are not even your friends, they are just athletes we watch on TV...
He is already unhappy when he lost his starting job to CK. What makes you think he will even remotely entertain the idea of riding the bench on the Patriots team. Besides that money could be used on something far more pressing like on defense or a WR.
It's different now. When have you had 5 players (RG3, Wilson, Luck, Kaepernick, Cam Newton) who are very mobile yet accurate in the pocket at the same time?? I don't think its ever been done Remember i said mobile AND Accurate.
These new crop of mobile QB's are vastly different in that they are actually very good and accurate throwing the ball. Even If they weren't mobile all of these guys are pro bowl potential passers, the running game just gives them another element. Plus these guys with the exception of RG3 are...
I agree to some extent. Lloyd is not a #1 WR, but he would make a terrific #2. Welker is not a true prototypical #1 but he is an elite slot receiver. So I guess you need to stop looking at Lloyd as our burner because he is not and you will see he is very productive.
RG3, Luck, Wilson, Kaepernick, the rising stars of the NFL. They all have one thing in common: mobility. In the next few years when they get more experience, they will be even more dangerous. We can also assume, since it is a copy cat league, we could very wrll see a slew of fast mobile qb's...
Do you guys also remember Nnamdi Asomugha? How did he go from #2 shutdown corner of the league with the raiders and then become mediocre/terrible with the eagles? The only thing changed was the system or philosophy for which whatever reason i believe did not cater to his strengths.
Yes we all know they are talented, but how did all of them with the exception of Thomas get passed up so many times??
It's the same with the steelers. With the exception of Polamalu they are all late picks.
