I'm surprised Brady can even get a cab in New York. Isn't NYC hostile territory? If Mangini came to Boston, would a cab stop for him?

See how calm and cool is through the red light wait. That display of patience in the face of being pressured is something. This clutch performance in the face of adversity is nothing short of amazing! ;) !

TMZ exists for the sole purpose of provoking celebs into a reaction that they'll then broadcast. All of the vids I've seen resemble each other. Some poor irritated celebrity being stalked, questioned and prodded for a response. Sometimes they're even physically impeded. Only the foolish ones like Britney respond, screaming (justifiably) at these parasites. TB was obviously irked, but as always, remaind calm, cool and collected.

Could this be a blueprint for getting pressure on Tom Brady?

People dont care. Half the people in Manhatten are not even from NYC. 99 percent of cabbies are foreign have no idea who Brady is.

If Mangini hailed a cab in Boston he would be picked up. Most fans are full of crap and would be respectful to guys like the rat in person.

The net is funny. Everyone is a milionaire tough guy /former big time college athlete/ cage fighter on the net:rolleyes:

those are all potential voters for when Tommy runs for office

BODYGUARD??? I find it astounding that Brady and Gisele would walk around NYC at night w/o some protection. It's both gutsy and stupid to do what they did. The paparazzi would be the least of my concerns. Some moron could walk up and attack them, then try and take Brady to court and sue his pants off. That's what happened to Mo Vaughn about ten years ago when he was a member of the Red Sox in some bar (I don't think it was the Foxy Lady).

Celebs like Brady and Gisele have to be aware of all the pitfalls and accept the fact that they cannot simply move about town like you and I can. Personally I would rather be rich than famous anyday.

God I HATE the paparazzi. People who buy those celebrity magazines need to get a life too. Who TF cares about gossip?...seriously!

THANK YOU ! How many posts before someone said that? Next to boycotting Easterbrook we should all be boycotting this crap.

I know most of you guys probably don't pay much attention to it anyway. But I hear SO much of this stuff from women at work. Page six, TMZ, who wore flip flops to the White HOuse, all of that trash. WHO CARES? Let these people life their lives. The paparazzi are bloodsucking leeches. And the people that feed them are lifeless fools.

He really looks pissed off and rightfully so. This is just him out with his girl, what happens with he's with his infant son? To my knowledge no pics have been taken of Tom and the little guy yet. That will be a real money shot for those guys. Tom might go nuts if these guys get too close or too intrusive. Might get ugly even.

Sure Bridget went on the cover of a tabloid with the baby (which is beyond me to understand anyone doing that to their kid, but that's Hollyweird for you). Even with that, you still see pics of her walking with the kid so it didn't stop them for taking pics. But the real interest in this baby has little to do about the mother and much more about the father. It is all about that kid being Tom Brady's son. They are going to fight for a pic of Tom with the baby and if Gisele is with him it will be worse. Let's hope Tom can control his anger and not go off on someones arse.

your concerns aren't unwarranted, but a lot of celebs walk around manhattan at all hours unprotected, and they take cabs too. i've lived in the city since 1990, and one thing i've learned is that New Yorkers are pretty jaded and tend to leave them alone and not even bother them for autographs. my own penultimate new york celeb cool experience was sitting next to Keith Richards in a nice restaurant late at night and just minding my own business. i stood in front of the late jfkjr and darryl hannah in, of all things, a car rental line and didn't say a word. the people who make a fuss over them are usually teeny boppers or out of towners. my guess is that someone like brady is less hassled in the city than he is in boston. if he went into a good restaurant in manhattan, he would most likely not be bothered.

why do the celebs do it? you'd have to ask them, but I think most do it either because they want to be seen or because they just want to act like the normal people they once were. manhattan, ironically, is one of the few places they can do the latter.

as for being "rich," it's the highly visible rich who seem to have more bodyguards on the streets of manhattan, but i have also seen robert rubin or george soros just walking down the street like any other new yorker on his way to the office with no tail cars or big guys with ear pieces and open jackets in the vicinity.

I agree... I currently work in the city, and seeing P.Diddy or Derek Jeter around is as common as seeing a hot dog stand.. no biggie..

Listen to that douche suck up to Tom, too.

You sound like you've never been to nyc

.... most of these guys are just trying to make an honest living, after, by the way, entering the US legally. for most it's a first job that others think is beneath them, but many have put their kids through school and college or support families in other countries with the money they make. one of the most interesting things you can do as a visitor to new york is engage the driver in conversation. seven or eight out of ten speak good english and frequently have interesting stories to tell, including as asylum seekers or refugees from some pretty tough places. ...QUOTE]

How many of those sterling, upright characters
have offered to sell you the Brooklyn Bridge?

Have you ever heard of pharming tips?

I gotta think this was deliberate bit of publicity seeking by Giselle (much like the day off in Miami at the swank hotel the day after the first rout)... its good for her, her agent, her career, etc to be seen in public with Tommy. Tom plays along but gets to look all pissed off like he's surprised and mad at the paparazzi.

Because let's be honest... they have to expect it at this point, especially in NYC. And the cost of a car service for them would be like a T token for the rest of us if they wanted to avoid it.

And if that's one of the ways he has to keep her happy, so be it. Who wouldn't want to please her ?

Even though it would s*ck to be constantly harrassed by paparrazi, I would trade places with Brady any day - dude has it good!!

Especially after Bridget, you think protection would be 1st on Brady's list.

Maybe he would have had less attention if he was playing with his child.
