Lmao, Gumbel sucks. He is so boring to listen to, in the past has said some things about whites I'm not liking to much. He just all around sucks. He sounds like a chess club loser who got mixed up with the football guys. How many times do I gotta hear "and just like that" I'm glad someone else noticed it cuz it always sticks out to me how redundant he can be.

No, but for this game I think I will. It looks like they offer a 7 day free trial. I'll cancel after Saturday nights game since this will be Gumbel's last game of the season.

I'm not sure he will cheapen it, but he absolutely sucks. I'm hoping to synch up the Sirius feed with the video so that I don't have to hear him. It's more like picking out a hot escort for your brother's wedding waay ahead of time only to have her replaced by a pig when the day comes. Collinsworth is a putz but I can listen to him, Gumbel brings nothing to the table. No knowledge of the game, no enthusiasm in his voice, no insight. Nothing.

I'd much rather have Nantz or Buck or Michaels for this game than Gumbel. Say what you want about those other guys but they have a football voice and a clue about what is going on.

I'd especially like Michaels because his 'big play is happening' voice is the best so if the Patriots are winning with the clock winding down I think he could do the moment justice.

While I prefer Nantz and Simms over all others, this issue is really a non-starter. I can ignore his weak voice and lack of enthusiasm, as I'll be amply jacked for this game and don't need a professional football announcer (which Bryant certainly is not) to heighten the excitement.

As I live outside of the 'BCN broadcast area, I'm on my own with Bryant and Deion and Chris, oh my!
